Betfred Cup Group Stage Fixtures And Initial TV Selections Announced The SPFL has today announced the First Round Group Stage fixtures for the 2016 Betfred Cup kicking off on Friday, 15 July, including the first five selections by the competition’s exclusive live broadcaster BT Sport. The 2018/19 Betfred Cup group stage fixtures have been announced ahead of competitive football returning to Scotland next month. An all-Premiership clash between Kilmarnock and newly-promoted St Arbroath will host the first fixture of the group stages of the Betfred Cup on Friday, July 15 at Gayfield when they will play Dundee United with the game being televised live by BT Sport. Clubs will play 13 home fixtures in a 27-game Regular Season, including the Dacia Magic Weekend. The later start results in a repeat of the six-team play-off format used in 2020. The 2021 Betfred Super League Grand Final will be played on October 9 at Old Trafford. Fixtures for the group stage of the 2016/17 Betfred Cup have now been confirmed, with 80 matches taking place between July 15 and 31. Competition broadcaster BT Sport have announced five live TV selections and will make their choice for matchday five (July 30/31) in due course.
