Winter Wonderland HUT Guide - for Beginners!

It’s Coooolin ! Hey there!
Are you new to HUT? About to fire it up for the first time? Here’s a guide for you! ... and tips at the verrryyyy end!!

Knowing the Menus

There’s a bunch of things to do in HUT under different categories they are ...
• HUT Central
• Solo Play
• Online
• Auction House - sets
• Team
Each of these have various things underneath them, so let’s talk about them.
HUT CENTRAL
First off we have a scroll-through menu on what new content is out.
New content; packs, and players gets released every week day at 5pm EST , unless it’s a Holiday - then we’ll get the content a day earlier.
You will see when the content is out of packs by the timer and the date on the banner shown - Winterinternational Players released Monday were a week long to pull.
We will see new events come into HUT bi-weekly. This event ends soon, so we will see a new Event next Friday at 5pm EST.
Team of the Weeks are Wednesdays at 5pm EST. Available for the Week.
HUT RUSH
What else is there on HUT Central? You can go directly to HUT RUSH game mode by going to the banner using the left stick, highlighting it and clicking “X” or “A”.
HUT Rush is 2 game modes , normally one is Traditional Hockey gamestyle, and other is Arcade Hockey gamestyle with “moneypuck” attached.
Play games, win, get points, rank up in tiers. Get rewards - instantly. You can net 18.5k in coins, and 2 and a half gold collectables normally — or 100 Gold Players for 3 Gold Collectables, once. — willl talk about later. This is a limited time set, ending Tuesday @5pm EST.
Objectives / Milestones
You will also be available to see what Objectives / Milestones are close to completion. Click on this, and you will be shown the “Daily” Objectives. If you do all these, you get a Monthly Collectable, and 1,250 coins for the day.
Weekly Objectives are the same thing, finish all those up within a weeks time (Friday at 5pm EST - Friday at 5pm EST) and get a cool 5k, plus an Untradable Premium Pack - worth 7,500 coins.
Milestones have infinite time, do those for coins, players, packs. Do them all? Get yourself an Icon or Gold Collectable. — I’ll talk about these later.

Solo Play

Under Solo Play there is Squad Battles , and Challenges.
What is Squad Battles?
Squad Battles is playing your team against the A.I. for points. The higher difficulty; rookie, semi-pro, pro, all-star, superstar - and opponents OVR - i.e., 77 or 88 - the more points you can obtain. To get max points, score 5 goals, and have 20 shots on net. Points will increase as more people play, and get updated weekday, 5pm EST. The more games you play, and win the higher the rank you will get. Aim for at least Pro 2 , which is 4-5 games.** Squad Battles resets on Wednesday - 5pm EST and you will receive your rewards on Thursday at 5pm EST. —- some people still don’t know this, so have that memorized and you’ll know more than some people.
Squad Battles affects your win-loss ratio, and Players Stats
Squad Battles rewards you in Tradable Packs, Coins, and HUT Sweats CHAMPS points
Challenges
Challenges are a great way to earn a coin stack, and receive free packs - usually earned at the second last - last challenge in the “Event Challenges”. You will also receive Monthly Collectables throughout doing the Event Challenges.
If you opt not to do these Event Challenges, there are “offline” challenges to do - Starting at Rookie, and ending in Superstar you can net a free 200k for doing them all!! It is time consuming, but it’s 200k worth!
Challenge Coin Tiered

Online

Rivals Mode
What is Rivals?
Rivals is playing against people online. PS+ or Xbox Membership is required in order to play online.
Play your first 5 games, get entered into a Division.
Do well - win lots in a row, and you’ll be able to go up in Divisions. This gives yourself better, and bigger rewards. Want to get those rewards in a higher tier, but you’re afraid you’ll lose the division? Hold off, and don’t play. Rivals resets Tuesdays at 5pm EST, Rewards available Wednesday at 5pm EST.
Each game gives you points, as well. You get more points winning than losing, duh. More points will net you better rewards for the week. I normally just aim for Gold.
You can choose from Tradable packs, Untradable packs (2 times the amount as tradable) or coins.
Play a friend
You can play your friend in HUT. They will obviously use their HUT team, and you’ll use yours. You can use expired loan players in this. Make up your own rules, and have fun!

Auction House

Buy players, jerseys, logos, coaches, arenas, cellys, jersey numbers, goalie masks in the Auction House. You can also sell your own, as well. Simply click on the “Auction House” . You can change the category by clicking “X/A” and scroll over to your designated category you want to buy. - Also filter out the things if you want a specific player, or event.
You will have the option to click down and sell players, view them in the next tab and see how much time is left, and also see what price they go for at the very end at the “Sell Transactions” - it will show you what you’ve sold, and by clicking “R2/RT” you will have a timestamp, going back a week, month, year, or all-time. Clicking “L2/LT” you will see your sold items, and expired items — if they didnt sell they’ll go here.
• Since you are new?? There is a “Market Crash” happening right now. Load yourself up with “Base” 84+ cards for cheap - Mackinnon, Kane, McDavid - best Base player - Hedman, Vasilevskiy, etc., —- Tall goalies are “meta” , as well as “speedy” players. —
I would also suggest buying TOTW Players, they will rebound in price.
Sets
Do your re-rolls what even is a “re-roll” ? A reroll is trading in 8 of a specific “level” to 2 of the “next level” players. For example 8 Bronze Players to 2 Silver Players. 8 Silver Players to 2 Gold Players. Lastly, we have 8 Gold Players to 2 Gold Players with one being an 80+ Player. I would not suggest doing the Gold -> Gold reroll
You can also trade in Monthly Collectables you get from the Daily login for a Free Gold Collect / Icon. This costs 30 Monthly Collectables. You can also get packs, or a 80-82 player. You can get 2 per day - Daily Pack you get every 24hrs, plus doing the Daily Challenges.
When a player gets 50 Gold Players, you can lock those into a Gold or Icon Collectable. Each will help your team in various ways, lets look at it.
There is a set right now under “Winterinternational” where you trade in 100 Gold Players to 3 Gold Collectables, I highly suggest this, especially as a new player - redeemable twice
—- The Winterinternational Collectables from the Event Challenges gives you a free Gold Collectable or helps with building a 91/92 random player, or specific player. For the free Gold Collectable you need 21 Winterinternational Collectables. —
Icon Collectable - Untradable Master Icons. 1 Icon Collectable is an 85 Master Icon. There’s 84-89 OVR Master Icons available. Each one requires more and more Icon Collectables.
—- Master Icons will eventually go to 99 OVR. Will require more Icons. Lower OVR Icons will need more Icons to get to Max OVR - 99. Higher Icons - Gretz / Lem. will require less.
To get Lemieux / Gretzy it is 7? Icon Collectables.
Gold Collectables - Tradable / Untradable Event Master Set Players (MsPs). Less Gold Collectables will net you an Untradable MSP , More Gold Collectables will net you a Tradable MSP. You can also get yourself specific 92 MsPs this event by doing their tasks. — They are Untradable. —
Normally I go Tradable, and sell them for more coins. This allows you to build your favourite team the fastest.

Team

Store
Also under this is “Store” . Right now until Tuesday at 5pm EST you can get a free 90 OVR player! What a great way to start! Just pick your favourite one - THERE IS NO WRONG CHOICE!!
Seriously grinds my gears seeing a post “what 90 is the best” “who should I choose?” It is YOUR GAME! What works for others , may not work for you. Pick YOUR FAVOURITE!
Base & Premium Packs are always there. Base packs are 5k coins, Premium Packs are 7.5k coins. Every other weekday we will see a new pack enter the store. New Events bring more packs, containing specific stuff. One guarantees a Gold Collectable, and a Winterinternational Player. Since Boxing Day is today, there are packs out for it!! These packs end on Monday at 5pm EST.
A player can also buy packs by purchasing “points” to purchase points, click the Triangle or Y button in the store.
To see how much a pack is in “points” it is the Green Circle “Pucks” besides the coins. Currently the guaranteed Winterinternational and Gold Collectable pack is $25.
Team
Change your team players, lineups, goalies, coaches, add better players, etc.,
You can change your strategies by going to “Manage Lineups” and “Strategies”.
Also there is the “Settings” to fix your camera, puck size, visual / audio, and controls.
—- My Collection —
Click on this, see every possible card you will be able to buy, and collect. Click “Triangle” to view all your players, jerseys, arenas, etc.,

Offerwall revisted part 2

After the first post, I replied to most of the comments and decided I'd try a few more games, while the first post had some mixed reactions, it seemed more positive and helpful to others than not. Well, you know you want to feed the machine for WoL and Death Machine after all... or maybe you already did and you're just wanting to rebuild that stash for Kilfe, FFTv2, or whoever. I have a few suggestions and tips for each. Do note that it's not up to me what's shown on your wall, or why numbers super fluctuate, I'm only trying to share advice on what has worked for me, to make this easier for you. A couple of the comments were... very aggressive as if I stiffed you, sorry for taking all the good stuff I guess? Be aware that the potential numbers I listed was what I got, you may get more or less, I'm guessing as more do or skip a challenge the numbers alter to reflect the popularity. I apologize for not labeling it clearly again, but this is on the Android paywall, I understand that for whatever reason, Apple has shafted it's users, sorry.

One Punch Man 2.0 - Beat 5-4 within 1 week. Fairly straightforward challenge, some of the worlds get kinda big, but if you like OPM, you might dig this a bit, like any gacha game there are tiers of characters and some will help you finish this challenge faster than others. 3 x 3 party grid, field 5, and turns are based on the position on the grid up right, far right, bot right, up middle etc so you have some control on altering specials and turn order. Several codes out there will help you fill up your party faster. Every 4 stages is a miniboss, so 1-8, 1-12 etc, usually the following 3 are much easier... unlike Idle Heroes, you can go as far as your party takes you. Also BIG note, the challenge does vanish from your offerwall... it still paid out pretty quickly on completion. codes
Potential 1260 visiore, took 1 1/2 days, I feel like I had a really strong party, some of my guild mates took 3 and 4 days, ymmv a bit.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Left to Survive - Level 6 base in 10 days. Probably the most fun out of all the games I've played lately, a bit unique (at least to me) in gameplay. The game is half base builder, have weapon upgrades to shoot zombies in an old arcade style shooter. I thought this challenge would take longer, but it seems when I hit rank 4 an anniversary event opened up. Did this challenge enough to hit 18000 tier (10k oil as a reward), which also gave me enough points to purchase several things from the event shop. I was scared at first to redeem anything, as I was certain I'd lose materials over my cap... I have roughly a 3k supplies and oil cap, so 10k was quite a lot... the shop had 100000 supplies for like 250 tokens, I had 1000, on top of this, the shop also had 10x 1 hour speed ups for 300, bought that twice, and finished really quickly. The game will force you into 1 pvp match, and attempt to have you raid someone, you can back out of the raid, it'll break your peace shield. The anniversary event should be going on for another 3 or 4 days. Overall different, kinda fun, different change of pace, pretty easy to complete within the peace shield time limit... even easier if you take advantage of the anniversary event.
Potential 1620 visiore, took about 12 hours, was scared to lose resources otherwise it'd have been about 10~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vikings: War of Clans - Train any T3 unit, no time limit. Do note theirs a timed version as well, but oddly enough it pays LESS, so why hurt yourself on rushing? On top of you only get 1 builder, which as limiting as that is... wasn't the worst issue. That said this one is super time consuming... usually with base building games you need to quickly upgrade your keep/castle to upgrade your barracks to build higher tier troops, not the case here... you need to do that AND research it in the tower. The costs of even the T2 units (and you have to unlock ALL of them) is astronomical, at this point I was getting about 1500 resources an hour, and hitting nodes on the map for about 8k of 1 type per hour. Each T2 (that I can see) is 48 hours to complete, 50k of all resources and 90k silver. It's disgusting, and I imagine the T3 will be even worse. So not only is this gated on time, the resources needed is pretty staggering, you also only get a 3 day shield. Getting attacked may be a problem, they won't get any of the normal resources due to your storage protection... but silver isn't protected until rank 21, so if you're struggling to hit 90k multiple times and possibly even more, it could become a problem. You can join a clan and someone might send you silver, but most of the people I've seen in chat are pretty... derpy to say it kindly. Overall I'd pass on this one, even without it having a time limit I'd still say pass.
Potential 1822 visiore, currently at 2 1/2 days... I wager at least another 7 to finish, more if I become a target... at least it's not timed, but who wants to add onto the stress?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Afk Arena - Train any Legendary hero, no time limit. A bit of luck with this, the upgrade system is just like the OPM one, but just in case you don't try that... 2 of the SAME rare (blue), makes a rare+, any 3 rare+ of the same element makes an elite (purple), 2 of the SAME elite, makes an elite+, 3 elite + of the same element makes a legendary. This game also has a lot of codes that you can get a bunch of quick units. I recommend selling any green tier units for hero shards and using the shop to buy random blue tier units... you should be able to get most/all of them. Push as far as you can in the story, the tower, and the maze event, it too gives tokens to buy randoms (or save up to buy an elite dupe, this will depend on your pulls of course). This isn't too bad, very similar to Idle Heroes in the sense that after the first hour or two, you only need to collect, push, recruit more units every 8 or so hours. Not a hard challenge at all, part of it is luck on pulls, maybe you'll finish faster, maybe you'll need to level a lot and really grind out every crystal you can, it's hard to say... but they do get codes fairly often and it's not timed, so it could be a refreshing break. Do note this challenge also vanishes off of your wall, but you'll still get paid. codes
Potential 756 visiore, finished in 1 1/2 days. Just finished about 30 min ago, but was credited before I finished this post. I doubled up this game while doing Vikings after the first day.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also not saying to do or don't, but it seems that someone got lucky...
Lord_Xashen
The "Billionaire Casino Slots 777: Free Vegas Games" one for reaching Level 200 is bugged? I grinded to Level 162 and when I swapped over to check the WotV shop for WoL Shards, the Visiore was sitting in my inbox.
Edit: Not complaining

Total visiore earned to date - 14688, I'm sure I'll try a few more, just they'll have to wait, I move Monday and some of these can be pretty time intensive. I'm considering going for one of the Star Trek ones, and another base builder... once I've settled in of course.
Again, I'm happy to reply to comments or pms if something needs further explanations, or even if you have a story you'd like to share as well.

About Slotland Casino [REVIEW]

Slotland is a highly experienced and enjoyable online casino that specializes in slots and video poker games. They have been in business since 1998 which is extremely impressive and it is clear that they are offering a superior product at this point in time. This popular online casino is owned by Slotland Entertainment S.A. which is a well-known gaming company that also owns their sister site WinADay.
Not only does Slotland make their own games, but you will never find these unique titles on any other gambling site. Let’s take a closer look at some of the key ingredients that Slotland is made of and try to figure out why it is that they have been successful for so many years.

Reputation of Slotland

Players Not Accepted: BY, CN, CZ, FR, ID, IN, KZ, LT, LV, MY, PT, RU, SK, TR, TW, UA and VN
Even though they have been in operation since 1998, it appears as if Slotland has made its way onto a couple of blacklists across the internet. When we investigated the casino further, we found that this was simply because their progressive jackpot video poker games play like slot games, and their old roulette games were apparently broken in a way that was unfair to players.
With that being said, there are a ton of gamblers who still enjoy their experience with Slotland and they don’t even offer any roulette games anymore. They are licensed and registered by the Government of Anjouan, which we have to admit we have never heard of before today. This might be because the only online casinos that they have licensed are Slotland and their sister casino WinADay.
After more research we found that this small island off of the southeastern corner of Africa has apparently licensed more than 300 offshore banks as well, so we feel that they are a relatively trustworthy entity. In addition to this, they also are responsible for issuing brokerage licenses, finance licenses, and insurance licenses. The only red flag that we can find is that there is zero information available on the internet about complaint and dispute resolutions from their operations.

Software and Client at Slotland

There is no downloadable software to worry about on Slotland since every game is accessible via web browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Once you make an account and make your way to the game library on Slotland you simply need to click on the yellow “Instant Play” button that is underneath each game to give them a whirl. Unfortunately, there is no option to practice these games for free like most other casinos offer.
Before you begin to play these games you will be prompted to decide whether you wish to allow Adobe Flash Player to open the game. If you do not wish to use Adobe Flash Player, some games will allow you to play the HTML version of the game. Playing on the HTML version will not change the games in any way except that the graphics will be much less impressive. We are shocked at how colorful and clear all of the games are when played in Adobe Flash player since it might be some of the best graphics we have ever come across.
It seems as if the best way that Slotland could improve their software is to add in some more games since there are currently only 61 games in total. This is far below the industry standard, but they more than make up for this deficiency with eye-popping graphics and the fact that you can only find these games on Slotland.

Slot Games at Slotland

Slot Providers: Slotland Entertainment (Proprietary) Slot Betting Limits: $0.01 to $8.50
There are a total of 50 slot games available on Slotland.eu, which is far less than we expected from a casino that has “Slot” in their name. However, the quality of these games and their graphics is extremely high so we will give them a pass for valuing quality over quantity.
The number of reels that you will find in these slot games ranges from 3-reels to 9-reels. The number of paylines that you will find ranges from 8 paylines to 40 paylines.
Many of these slot games share a progressive jackpot which is also shared with the video poker progressive games. Even the games that are not participating in the progressive jackpot appear to come with a ton of bonus features which keeps the games fun and your potential earnings high. A great example of this would be the Zodiac game which does not have a progressive jackpot but still comes with FOUR bonus features.
We are extremely impressed by the innovative nature of some of these games since some of them do not appear to be your usual average slot game. For example, Slotris incorporates the game of Tetris into their slot and your spins determine the shape of the piece that drops next. Another example is the Slot 21 game which incorporates a blackjack mini-game into the slot game.

Table Games at Slotland

It is clear that Slotland does not feel that table games are an important part of an online casino since they left them out entirely. Whether they are correct about that or not is undetermined, but they do offer one slot game which has a blackjack mini-game built into it.

Baccarat at Slotland

Sorry, Baccarat fans. You will not find any sort of Baccarat games on Slotland Casino.

Blackjack at Slotland

Types of Blackjack Offered: Slot 21 You will not find any traditional blackjack games at Slotland Casino since they do not appear to be very fond of table games in general. However, one of the slot games named Slot 21 comes with a bonus blackjack game for those who are really itching to test their luck at this popular two-card table game.

Roulette at Slotland

If you are looking for roulette games, you will have to take a spin at another casino since Slotland does not currently offer any.

Video Poker Games at Slotland

Video Poker Games Offered: Jacks or Better, Double Bonus Poker, Aces & Eights, Deuces & Joker Wild, All American, Tens or Better, Joker Wild, Jacks or Better Progressive, Wild Heart, Striking 7’s Video Poker Betting Limits: $0.10 to $25 per hand
Video poker games are clearly the second most popular game that you can find on Slotland and nothing else really comes close. While you will find classic video poker games such as Jacks or Better and Double Bonus Poker, you will also find unique games that are tough to find on other casinos such as Wild Heart or Striking 7’s.
One of the most exciting parts of this collection of video poker games is that some of them come with a progressive jackpot attached to them. For example, Striking 7’s and Jacks or Better Progressive currently share a progressive jackpot of over a quarter of a million dollars which can only be won by hitting a natural royal flush while simultaneously betting the maximum amount of $10 per hand.
However, you should be warned that the odds of winning the jackpot are not the same as the odds of hitting a natural royal flush. Considering the fact that you need a natural royal flush to win the jackpot, this means that the game designers altered the odds to make these video poker jackpot games more like slot games, which is why some review sites have chosen to blacklist Slotland.

Specialty Games at Slotland

Keno 101 is the only game you will find on Slotland which is neither a slot game nor a video poker game. This popular lottery-style game simply requires you to pick what numbers you think will be the winners and also comes with a Quick Pick option which will select random numbers for you. You can bet anywhere from $0.50 to $10 per round.

Live Dealer Games at Slotland

Sorry folks, you won’t find any Live Dealer games in the game library of Slotland. If you can’t live without having a human dealer while you play, you can check out our list of highly recommended brick-and-mortar casinos here.

Mobile Games at Slotland

There is no mobile app available on Slotland, but you can access the casino through your mobile web browser. All you need to do is download Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to your phone, visit www.slotland.eu and then log into your account to begin playing.
The devices that you can use to access their website include iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and Wii consoles. We have never seen a Wii console as an option for an online casino so we give them props for being so innovative in this area.
As is the standard for mobile versions of online casinos, you will not be able to access every game that you normally would from a computer. In fact, the only type of games that you can play on your mobile device will be slot games. However, you will still be able to redeem any bonuses from your mobile device without any issues.

Welcome Bonus at Slotland

The welcome bonus promotion at Slotland gives new players a chance to claim up to $1,075 in bonus funds over the course of their first TEN deposits. This might seem like a lot of deposits, but the level of investment that is required is relatively low compared to other casinos.
On your first deposit, you will be greeted with a 100% match bonus up to $100, since $100 is the maximum deposit for your first three deposits. On the second and third deposits, you will be granted a 50% match bonus for up to $50 in bonus funds each time. For the seven deposits that follow those, you will be rewarded with a 50% match bonus on a maximum deposit of $250 each time. When all is said and done, you will need to deposit a total of $2,050 to receive a total of $1,075 in bonus funds.

Other Promotions at Slotland

Once you have already taken advantage of the Welcome Bonus, you might be wondering what else Slotland has in store for you. The rest of their promotions program involves a tiered VIP, a ton of deposit bonuses, a weekly raffle drawing, and a unique newsletter which provides bonuses to its readers.
This is a fairly well-rounded list of bonus promotions, and if you combine that with the low playthrough requirements on every single bonus it is clear that this program is superior to that of most online casinos. We are extremely impressed with the effort that they have put into giving back to their regular players and highly recommend getting involved with as many of these promotions as possible.

VIP Program

The VIP Program on Slotland provides frequent gamblers with a way to win extra match bonuses, a subscription to the VIP newsletter, higher chances in the weekly draws, and special VIP customer service. The three VIP levels that currently exist are Bronze Level, Silver Level, and Gold Level.
Unlike other casino VIP programs, you will not belong to any VIP level when you first sign-up on Slotland. Once you have deposited at least $3,000 they will consider adding you to the Bronze Level, although this is not guaranteed to get you in since they use other unspecified criteria to decide who qualifies. The final level, otherwise known as the Gold Level, will provide you with 15% cash back, a $200 welcome bonus, a 200% match bonus in addition to all the other perks that Bronze Level players receive.
>> Claim Free Chip Bonuses <<

Newsletter Bonuses

Slotland is smart to realize that most people do not read newsletters that come from online casinos, so they decided to add some incentives to get people to do so. By checking out the monthly newsletter that is posted right on their website, you will be able to find out what the game of the month is and exactly what perks come from playing this game.
Usually, the prizes for this promotion include a match bonus that you can claim twice per day using the code “GOTM” as well as a random cash drawing. For every 100 rounds you play on the game of the month, you will receive a ticket into the random cash drawing where $600 is up for grabs among the four players whose tickets are chosen. Every month these prizes will change and so will the game that you must play to clear the playthrough requirements, so be sure to keep an eye out for any new newsletters that pop up on their site.

Monthly Mystery Bonus

The monthly mystery bonus is another promotion that utilizes the monthly newsletter since the only way to earn this bonus is to play in the mini-slot game that can be found there. The only catch is that you must redeem this bonus during the first seven days of the month in question.
The results of your spins on the mini-slot game will decide which reload bonus will be waiting for you during the following month. The reload bonus that you are given will range anywhere from 30% to 100% for players with a low VIP status while the more experienced VIP players will be rewarded with a bonus that is anywhere from 45% to 150% of their deposit.
>> Claim Free Chip Bonuses <<

Weekday Bonuses

No matter what weekday it is, there is guaranteed to be a deposit bonus that you can claim as long as you currently do not have any other active bonuses. Each bonus comes with its own wagering requirements and is only valid for specific types of games.
On Mondays, you will receive a 50% match bonus using the bonus code “50MOBILE” and you are only allowed to play slot games on your mobile phone. On Tuesdays, you will receive a 60% match bonus using the bonus code “KENO60” and you must clear this bonus using the game Keno 101. On Wednesdays, the match bonus is set at 75% and you have to clear the bonus using oldies slot games such as Booster, Golden 8, Lucky Ducts, and Lucky Stars. For Thursdays, the match bonus will be 40% if you use the bonus code “VPOKER” which can only be cleared using video poker games. Lastly, Fridays will reward you will a 50% match bonus that can be cleared using any slot game of Keno game.

Weekly Free Draw

For every dollar you deposit during any given week, you will be rewarded with one raffle ticket into the weekly free draw. Each Wednesday, a total of 20 players will be chosen to receive prizes and you will have to check your email to see if you won. The first place prize is an impressive $500 while 2nd through 10th place will receive $100 and 11th through 20th place will receive $10. If you are a winner, you will be required to wager your prize 1x before you can withdraw any of the money.
>> Claim Free Chip Bonuses <<

Bonus Terms and Conditions at Slotland

Each bonus promotion on Slotland comes with a different playthrough requirement which is specified on the webpage that is dedicated to that specific promotion. These playthrough requirements appear to range anywhere from 1X to 18X, which is EXTREMELY easy compared to other casinos. In fact, this might be the easiest playthrough requirements that we have ever seen since most casinos set their requirements between 30x and 60x. There also appears to be a very lenient timeframe in which you have to complete these requirements since 90 days is more time than most casinos will give you.
However, just like on most other online casinos, not every game will contribute equally towards clearing the playthrough requirements for each bonus. In fact, the only type of game which will count 100% of your wagers are slot games. Keno will contribute 50% of your bets towards the wagering requirements, video poker games will contribute 20%, and roulette games will contribute 1%.
One strange clause in these terms and conditions that we have not seen before is that any players from the countries of Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Hungary, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Tanzania or the United Kingdom will have playthrough requirements that are 5x as hard as normal. For example, if the playthrough requirement for a specific bonus is originally 10x, players from these countries will need to wager 50x their bonus amount before they withdraw funds.

Customer Support at Slotland

Customer Support Options: Email, Live Chat
There are two ways to contact the customer support team at Slotland and the only key ingredient they seem to be missing is a telephone contact method. However, the Live Chat feature works INSTANTLY whenever the Live Chat button is yellow and says “Live Support Online”. Despite the fact that they advertise 24/7 customer service, this button is sometimes grey and says “Live Support Offline”, so you will need to use email in those instances.
Speaking of email, there are numerous email addresses that you can use to contact them and you will normally receive a response in under an hour which is relatively fast for this method. The email address that you choose to contact will be decided by the issue that you need to speak to them about. For general inquiries, you can contact them at [email protected]. For billing inquiries, you can contact them at [email protected]. Finally, any VIP players will be permitted to contact them at [email protected] which has a quicker response time guaranteed.

Deposit and Withdrawals at Slotland

Minimum Deposit: $25 Maximum Deposit: $100 ($250 after your first three deposits) Deposit Methods: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller Withdrawal Methods: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Check, Wire Transfer, Skrill, Neteller
If you are a cryptocurrency enthusiast, then you will truly appreciate the fact that Slotland accepts three different forms of this digital currency. While it is normal to see Bitcoin on the list of deposit options for an online casino these days it is equally abnormal to find sites that accept Litecoin or Bitcoin Cash.
All deposit methods will be completed instantly and free of charge. They also have the exact same minimum and maximum limits. The only real difference between the cryptocurrency methods, e-wallet methods, and the bank card methods is that your bank might charge an international transaction fee of up to 10% if necessary since all transactions are processed in U.S. dollars.
If you plan on taking advantage of any of the deposit bonuses that we listed in the promotions section above, you will need to enter your bonus code BEFORE making a deposit. You can do this by clicking on the “Bonus Code” option on the side menu once you access your account cashier.
Once you are ready to withdraw the funds that are in your Slotland account there is a total of seven methods that you can choose from. Each of the methods that are available to players from the U.S. comes with a minimum withdrawal limit of $100, which is a little high considering the fact that the minimum deposit is $25. Players from other countries will be able to withdraw a minimum of $25 by using Neteller or Skrill.
When you choose Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Bitcoin Cash as your withdrawal option, your transaction will be processed the very next business day. This is much faster than the check or wire transfer withdrawal methods which will take 5-10 days to process and receive. Therefore, we recommend using one of Slotland’s supported cryptocurrencies so that you can take advantage of the high level of efficiency that these three coins offer. On the other hand, players from other countries will be able to take advantage of the 24 to 48-hour processing times of Skrill and Neteller.
In the event that you have a lucky day and win more than $5,000, you will need to make special arrangements to withdraw your money in increments. The best way to do this is to email them at [email protected] and they will work with you to figure out a payment plan.

Khonsu: Gambling Moon God

Lore: there once has a healer in egypt so great that he was able to cure illnesses by just a picture of him, that was Khonsu, God of the moon. Khonsu was known as a great healer and a patron to those lost or traveling through the night. He was also known for his gambles, even once loosing a bet to thoth multiple times and giving him 5 days worth if night for Nut to give birth to her 5 children. But on the battlefield of the gods none can control luck or fate, but all have a chance, which is all what Khonsu needs to win.
Pantheon: Egyptian
Class: mage
Role: mid, sup, solo(?)
Design: i dont want another bird person, so lets mix it up and make him more human. This might be too out there, so lets have fun with it. Khonsu is an egyptian man with short, black, shiny (almost to the point of making his hair slightly blue) hair and cunningly sharp yellow eyes and a grin to match. He has red make-up above his eye on his eyelid that goes slightly beyond to the side of his head, and blue make-up (slightly darker than his hair) that goes beyond the red line and ends up making a making a sharp curve to a point around his dimples and slightly beneath them. He wears a blue open-button suit and a red dress shirt that both match his make-up, and a few pieces on him like his buttons and watch match his yellow/gold eyes. His clothes aren't really expensive looking, but he pulls off a suave charismatic look that makes them look expensive; a look of a millionaire who came to a casino to waste all his money rather than earn it. His tier 2 re-color is a white suit with a pink shirt, anf his eyes and accessories turn black; it's called vulture.
Passive - gamble: Khonsu is always up for a good gamble, and is ready to kep both enemies amd allies on their toes. Whenever Khonsu's abilities (other than his passive) effect either himself or an ally, they're given a star to float over them. Once they have 3 stars, they then are randomly given 1 of 3 differemt symbols in each star. Each symbol gives a random boost. If they get all 3 symbols at once, their given all 3 boosts at once for the next 5 seconds. If they get 2 or more of the same symbols, their given a bigger boost of only that effect. While under the effect of this passive, they can't gain any stars until the boosts end.
Passive symbols:
Hawk: gives 5% increased movement speed (+5% per same symbol)
Flail: gives 5% increased power (+5% per same symbol)
Moon: gives 5% increased def (+5% per same symbol)
1 - traveler's light: Khonsu calls upon the moon to create a ray of light from above that glows and deals dmg to all in it's path, but Khonsu makes a bit with himself to get more out of it. khonsu makes a slow line skillshot of pure moonlight that deals dmg to all in it's path, pressing this ability again while active will cover up the moonlight. While it's covered, it will continue moving, but will now act as if it has been shot from when the moonlight was covered with the remaining units the skillshot has to travel (starting with units equal to the original skillsht). While covered, none can see where the moonlight would be, including yourself. activating this ability again while covering moonlight will make it appear again and it will continue to travel the path with whatever remaining units of movement it has left. Once it reaches the end of the path in either covered or revealed moonlight the ability will be over. Whichever form of moonlight it ended in, the next shot will start that way. This ability can only be on normal casting. While aiming this ability, you may cancel it and change the form this ability will be shot in. While also aiming, Khonsu raises his arms in an open hug/shrug and after shooting the ability will tense up and raise his shoulds and move his hands slightly.
2 - traveler's path: Khonsu aids those lost and gives them a path to travel, and makes a game out of if they actually travel it. Khonsu creates a small lunar light/star and draws a thin path within a large radius equal to 25 (+25 per lvl) units, and creates another star where the path ends. This path is invisible to enemies but is clear to you and allies. These stars stay on the field for 5 (+1 per lvl) seconds. Both ally and enemy gods can hit these stars (minions will ignore) up to a max of 3 times, with enemies who do so taking a small thing of dmg each time. After the duration ends or Khonsu cancels the ability early, the path will take how long it durated for and speed it up by 5 and for everytime a star was hit, it releases a tiny thing of light to travel the created path super fast and heal allies who whichever side hit the star that time and dmg their enemies (both heal and dmg ignore minions). This abilty has a very long cooldown and only activates your passive once per ally. This ability can't go through walls.
3 - a dull moment: not everything can be a gamble when fighting gods, and things need to be assured. Khonsu knows he must think of others and rols his eyes while flipping a coin in his hand that takes in lunar light that focuses on a targeted area Khonsu chose. If this light hits an enemy, it will then deal dmg to them and then if one of Khonsu's allies was within a certain range of that enemy, the coin flipping will bounce the light to them, healing that ally (prioritizing gods closer to that targeted enemy). If the light originally hits an ally, it will heal them but will bounce off amd hit an enemy afterwards. If the targetted area hits nothing, light bounces everywhere, healing up to 2 allies and dmging 2 enemies within a range of the targetted area but for a much smaller amount.
4 - dead man's final gambit: Khonsu knows where all paths will end one day, a dead end. And he knows he himself will one day reach that point, so he makes the biggest gamble with another to see who reaches there first. Khonsu targets a either a single enemy or ally god and a lunar light emits around both of them, cleansing them, and after a few seconds, both of them will then switch places. Once they switch places, they also now share exactly equal stats; including max and current mana and health; for the next 10 (+2 per lvl) seconds. After they switch places, they can have any stat changes seperate of the other. If one dies, the other will have their stats set back to normal along with 25% of the other's stats for double the remaining duration of this ability. Enemy/ally has to be visible to use. A rediculously long ass cooldown
A dumbass's guide to playing a fake caharacter: Khonsu is a trickster through and through, but a fair one. He doesn't gamble what he doesn't think he can get out of it. The gamble is more on enemy movements but to the extreme. His duties come first and formost, so he does have a duty to protect and serve others before taking any risks. You still. Have great healing and unsuspecting dmg. Your passive is great for random boosts of stats to come out of nowhere, which keeps enemies always guesing if your slightly stronger than last time. Your 1 is great for out of nowhere dmg but it's very literally out of nowhere, make sure to learn and understand your timing. Next is the ability you have to plan out. Make sure to talk with teammates about what the path is for, maybe it's for an enemy to take the bait just to take dmg just for a path to go another way or to force them to stay in hope of heals just before a gank from your allies, or maybe it's a long ranged heal made to look like it had another purpose, ir may e your running away and you drop it and create a little squiggle before ending it near a far off ganker who can get those autos off for you to cancel it. And dont be obvious with your paths, you have a lox of flexibility, so make sure to make everything as perfect as you can. Your 3 is your most reliable tool, even if the most boring to Khonsu. It reliably heals and dmgs and gets your passive off on two gods for the price of one. Amazing tool you should max first if sup or solo. Your ult has some of the best utility of forcing an enemy to drop stats while raising their own and being forced to take a massive dmg while also forcing them out of their comfort zone, literally by force teleporting them to your location. But it does come with the downside of all those things being true for yourself. Use this 3 ways. First, when coming from behind or against stat-stick bullies who can stand to be squishy, as a way to let allies escape, maybe ult then set up your 2 and 1, throw your 3 on the ground and switch places if you think you could get off all your dmg right there and then. Or use this ability to escape stixky situations of your own, and throw in a far off enemy who's maybe not that close in the fight, dont throw your allies to the dogs. Overall, your unpredictable. Focusing on what seems to be random damage, but o ly you know the lvl of skill that goes into setting all of these traps and gambles to go off all at just the right moment.
Oh builds.... Gonna break "character" for a minute and say i have like no idea about dmg or what to build. Im guessing he'll focus on a split of dmg and healing, and i just dont play enough healers to have a good idea of what is needed bothin a build or in dmg needed (i was around when bnaron was released, and that was hell)

Live vs. 2K: Devil's Advocate's argument to both

So lemme preface this, so I can avoid the people who will die on a hill playing 2K and will vehemently defend the game if they assume it's being talked about negatively. I've got 1000% nothing against 2K, but even a blind man can see the game has issues that never seem to be addressed. With that out of the way let's get into the meat of my argument.
NBA Live vs. NBA2K. An argument I can have all day honestly, but I don't think it won't get either person any further anywhere. A constant stalemate in my mind. Both have strengths and weaknesses so let's go over both.
2K: Since I'm gonna be getting murdered in the comments for even saying anything about this "God tier" basketball game, lemme go ahead and rip the band-aid off of this one.
Here we go. NBA 2K has a grand creation suite allowing you to essentially make your own league of you choose. It's got a middling story mode and even has support from actual pros. However, the gameplay bugs on day one, the rampant monetization and 2K20's myteam being a literal casino, ends up being the game's downfall. Yes I'm aware they spend like tens of millions on this game and they gotta make their money back somehow, I get that. However, your players should come before profit and lately 2K has not done that lately.
The neighborhood is a neat little MMO like space where players can meet up, get some cosmetic work for their characters, play some park or rec center and the like. It's a good idea. My problem lies in the players, not everyone, just the few who believe they are better than everyone and every loss of is their teammate's faults. A loss is everyone's fault, everyone plays a part in a victory and a defeat. Some players don't think that way. There's other problems about the online experience, but I think that's the major one.
However, I do like the product I'm given if I ignore the toxicity and bad seeds (easy to do without ps+). I stick to MyLeague myself and I can tell you it's in need of more features. I'm sure there's a list out there, but one feature I want added would be a feature to host wipe the league clean and pick your own teams for each conference.
Live: The one that competed, then fell off, then rose again (sorta). I've been playing NBA Live since NBA Live 2000 for the N64, and I'm gonna be real, it's better than most modern 2Ks.
Let's start off simple, there's no next to no monetization, except in the Ultimate Team mode, only one spot. The only problem is that NBA Live 19 is still using the 2018-2019 rosters as NBA Live 20 was cancelled due to ea sports waiting to wait for next gen.
Where 2K sorta fails is in complete player control of their character. Here's how your player can get better at NBA Live 19; playing and earning exp which gives you a skill point which you place on any category that's relevant to your player's position and archetype. For shooters, you will only need to worry about 2s and 3s and maybe dunk and layups, with some ball handling and some light defense. You're not going to be worrying about stats you're not likely to use. In 2K, in order to get max you need to put points in every attribute regardless if you are going to be in need of it. Like when am I hold need blocking as a Guard? Shot contest yes, but not blocking
In NBA Live you are given traits for doing stuff like making shots with good or perfect timing, playing good defense, etc. Like badges in 2K, but with one small thing making the difference; they do make an actual impact. If they pertain to your skill set, they even increase your overall by a point or two. This helps with customization of your player so he fits your playstyle. I like how badges are earned in 2K20, but I have a bigger soft spot for the traits system in NBA Live 19.
Finally there's the ICON system. By selecting an ICON, you essentially gain the skills of the NBA or WNBA player it's based on. My personal fave is Chef, based on Steph Curry. His ICON specializes in making threes consistently as making them increases your ability to finish at the rim. Much like a battle pass, playing will unlock parts of ICON's rewards line, which include stat boosts, cosmetic stuff for your character (shoes, classic and current Jerseys), new animations based on that player (Steph Curry's jumpshot, dribble moves or even his signature celebrations), and more. At the end of each tier (there's three; bronze, silver and gold) you can choose to either boost your attributes or make your ICON ability more powerful by adding more time it's active or boosting effectiveness.
All in all, I bought both and I spend a lot more time in Live than 2K, but that's not the point I'm trying to get across. Play what you want, I just thought I'd give a little comparison. Now I wanna go ahead and make some counter arguments as to why people haven't at least given NBA Live a try. It was on sale for $3 the 2019 all-star weekend and I think it's on sale like a lot so it's definitely worth trying just for the price tag. How often does any 2K game go on sale? Not often, they rarely go on sale during a holiday. I mean you can buy the PS3 version of 2K17 new for $30 but still $60 digitally... That's highway robbery honestly.
"Live sucks" You... you're kidding right? I know they fell off after NBA Elite 11 and tried making a comeback on multiple occasions, but NBA Live as a series doesn't suck, you've been so complacent with 2K being "the only NBA game available" that you actually didn't search for alternatives because your friends are playing 2K and you don't wanna look like a chump or miss out on something. A little FOMO is not a bad thing.
"Live isn't half of what 2K is" you're right. It isn't and I don't think it's trying to be. It's trying to be a good game. It has its flaws but 2K has a buttload more issues. There's articles and videos detailing all of 2K's problems. You rarely see anyone complain about NBA Live's issues because there's not a massive issue that's worth talking about.
"NBA Live doesn't have [name feature 2K has here]." Yes NBA Live doesn't have that, but honestly I don't need every game to have a deep creation suite, classic teams, a deep and engaging story mode (2K16 had the better story mode, fight me), or any other thing 2K has. I just want a basketball game, as long as I can play basketball, I'm fine. My real problem is this next statement
"If you play Live you're [insert insults of your choosing here]." This is a common thing heard amongst those who don't play 2K like the rest of the world but instead play NBA Live. I have to admit it's rather childish to say that to someone because they don't agree with you.
Long story short, NBA Live and NBA2K have their strengths and weaknesses. Live allows you to get better without a lot of grind whereas 2K makes you grind or pay up (I'm aware of the fact there's ways to expedite the process, but unless the game specifically tells you of these ways, you'd never know unless another player tells you or you somehow figure it out). There's no microtransactions in most online modes in NBA Live (the only exception being Live Ultimate Team, but there's microtransactions everywhere but play now and MyLeague in 2K.
If you asked me to play one and drop the other, I'd have a heck of a conundrum on my hands. I like both, so it'd be hard to choose. However, I know just about everyone here would go with 2K and that's fine.
I'm not sure what compelled me to even do this post, but I feel like I got something off my chest. Not sure what I got off... But it ain't there anymore.
Y'all have a good day. Tagg

[Guide] Early to MidGame Player Guide V.5

The New to Mid Game Player Guide

Originally i posted this for a friend. As he asked questions, i added to it. As guild members asked questions, i added to it. Now its full of info. This is all the info i have figured out about the game to date. Yes its long, and no, its not perfect. There are several ways to play this game. Though maybe not the most fun way to play at ALL times, I believe that most of what I share in this will save time and resources getting you into the later parts of the game much faster. In the end tho, i want you to take this info and make your own decisions.
Tracked some stuff here. Alot are out of date, and i will probably update it some and remove outdated info. Link Here

Account Progression

  • I'm going to be breaking some of my advice up into progression points. At certain points in the game, the optimal action is not the same as another point. Here is how i define them.
    • Early Game: You either have a team of 5★s, or a mix of 5★ and 6★s. Its hard to make a plan for heroes at this point in the game, and your resources are very limited.
    • Mid Game: You have an E5 and working towards more, maybe a 10★ support healer or Heartwatcher. You should have a decent grasp on the game, and a plan on heroes you want to level and how.
    • End Game: A team composed entirely of E3-5. Your PvP and PvE teams aren't the same. You are crushing it.

General Info

  • Daily Quest Skipping:
    • There was an old strategy where you only complete the daily quests when you had the free Heroic Summon. When this wasn't up, you completed all but Heroic Summon and 2x Casino spins.
    • After a little debating, discussing, and mathing with msmith78037 i re-evaluated my stance on this. If you look at the Google Sheet i linked above, on the tab for Daily Quests, it shows that the difference between the 2 is pretty small. And if the advantage goes anywhere, its probably on the side of completing every day. So for now on, i will be completing it. For sure EVERYONE should complete it during a HS Event.

  • Gem Spending Priority and Gem Hoarding Strategy:
    • Gem Events:
      • Gem Boxes (~10k)
      • Grey Dwarf (up to 8k)
      • Holiday Events (Easter, CNY, Anniversary, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years)
    • Gem Spending Priority(outside of card users)
      • Early Game: Spend gems on Event Raid Hero Challenge and the Tavern. Save the rest for events, specifically the Gem Box Event. You probably want a minimum of 10k. At some point you should also pick up a class set for your first E3 or E5 from the blacksmith event. When the months start getting close to a Holiday, save for those as well. Good chance for special Holiday event to require gems.
      • Mid Game: You income will be higher than before. Still make sure you have enough for any Gem Box event, and save for the Holiday events. At this point if you have spare gems i recommend buying the 5x POs for 2250 Gems.
      • Late Game: You be cranking out gems pretty decently between everything. Still save for all events like you did in the Early game, but any excess pick up the Daily 8x HSs for 1k Gems from the Marketplace. We are trying to get 2k before Xmas and Chinese New YeaAnniversary. The benefits of obtaining the new hotness are worth it. Also these are the only events that will ever give F2P players the chance at P2W artifacts, and will likely require 2k+ HSs.
    • Gem Hording
      • I tend to horde gems up to 20k and try not to dip below unless i'm dropping gems on an event like Gem boxes. Anything over that amount i spend. This way you will never get taken unawares by the devious Devs that drop random events on us at the worst times. 20k is purely arbitrary and you can decide on your own value if you want. The idea behind mine is to have enough for Gem Boxes plus like 5-8k in reserve.

  • Game Advice:
    • There are so many people with so many different ideas on how to play. Some people know their stuff, others don't. Some people are nice and trying to help but have no clue how the game actually works. Some people make opinions sound like facts. I find myself doing the last alot. Some people even do some crazy math on things that help all of us out, but not everything can always be mathed out and quantified. Because a large portion of this game is basically gambling (RNG), there are too many hypothetical scenarios and results that could play out. I play and advise a certain way, and some disagree. Really it breaks down into 2 main ideas. Spending for "efficiency" and progress, or saving for big event gains and possible higher rate of progress. Is either wrong? Nah. What i'm saying is be careful who you listen to and play like u want.
    • The game CHANGES. From start to now, this game has changed alot. Events, player growth rates, heroes, PvE Meta, PvP Meta, it all changes. If you don't adapt, you will lose. Valk is a stellar example of this. She changed the PvP meta hardcore. It was a great change from speed CC rules all. Yet people rant about her constantly. She is very powerful (a touch too much), but she has to be for 1 unit to change a meta. So build her, build her counters, or lose and complain. Adapt or die. I'm pointing this out because there are quite a few that haven't adapted well that still give advice, so keep this in mind.
    • In conclusion, be skeptical, do your own research before buying in fully to any idea, and then use your brain to decide. In the end, you are in charge of you. There are quite a few times a little self research or even just THOUGHT about a topic could resolve peoples problems and more places a little patience would have helped. Use your brain if you want to do well, its all on you.

  • Early Game
    • I see questions in the line-up thread all the time. Am i doing it right? Who should i focus on? With a full team of 5★s, this is not a question that is needed. At 5★, all your heroes are poop. Should you replace poop in your line-up for slightly better poop? Sure, but its still poop. At this point in the game, the gear, artifact, and Treasure gem is more important than your hero. Of the heroes you have currently, you have no way of knowing which ones you will obtain more copies of. So here is the blanket advice.
      • Build every hero to 6★ you can. It doesn't matter. If you have 2 copies of it, build it. Put it on your team. 2 Faceless, is she good? Nope, build her anyways. This will not hurt you in the least. What you are building is fodder. Fodder is needed in the THOUSANDS (NOT exaggerating anymore) in this game. So build without worry. If you find a top tier hero and have 2 copies, then its time to focus in and see if you can make things happen. DO NOT LEVEL PAST 6 WITHOUT PLANNING TO TAKE IT TO 9.
      • The only thing (hero wise) you can do wrong is sacrifice a top tier hero to ★ up another one. How do you avoid this? WELL, i'm glad you asked. You jump to the top of the screen, type in "Tier List" and read. I personally like MKxJump's list. You can also check out my other Guide Here Check the top.
    • I'm not saying to never post in the Line-up thread with questions either. Just that posting with a team of 5★s is a waste of time. Most people don't know how to respond so they don't. Most of the time i tell them "You have these 3 good heroes, rest are fodder, don't sacrifice the good ones, build 6 stars, cheers." All of which with a little research they could probably have figured out. If you have a varied line-up of 6★-10★ heroes and you want to know treasure stone builds, artifacts, if its worth proceeding with a hero in your comp, if you should sacrifice a mid-tier hero for a top tier, those are good questions. Keep in mind that just because they answered you doesn't always mean they are right either Haha.

 ## Importance of Gold:
- Guild Tech Pets Treasure Stone Heroes Grey Dwarf
Gold 75m Per Tree 800m Per Pet 170m Per Stone 270m Per Hero 200m Per Event
  • Can't stress this enough. DO NOT waste your gold. You will need it. Gold is used in high quantity for all of the above. In massive numbers. A full team of E5, Max Tech, Celestial Stones, and Pet are easily in the BILLIONS of Gold. Best to start saving now. That blacksmith event is killer early on, but still worth... sometime for only partial completes.
  • So be careful spending gold on:
    • Blacksmith Upgrades
    • Leveling heroes (YOU DON'T NEED TO LEVEL THEM ALL and fodder heroes only to 100)
    • Treasure stones for non-Tier 1 heroes.
  • There are thankfully alot of places to earn gold as well.
    • The Guild mill is a great early place
    • Celestial Island is another good place. Clearing Gold mines and the Islands can net like 6m a day.
    • Making sure to stay on top of the Campaign 10 hour timer
    • Broken Spaces monthly event
    • Aspen Smashes
    • Fusion Event

Account Progression

  • Account progression is impacted by 2 main things, fodder, and Hero Copies.
    • Neither is more or less important than the other. Without Good hero copies, all the fodder in the world won't help you. If you have the hero copies and no fodder, same. You need both. As i see it Events are mostly important for Hero Copies, and 4★ Shards will be your solution to fodder issues.
    • I have a guide on the best way i have found to progress. Its to focus 1 Great hero, and ignore all else. The guide is Here. I recommend reading that thread more than this one. While this is still useful, it just doesn't have an big an impact as the one i linked.

Importance of 4★ Heroes:

  • 4★ Heroes shards will make up a large portion of your consistent acnt growth. You build their numbers daily, in small amounts. By the end of the month, they add up. On top of that, with the monthly Fusion quest, the first 20 5★ you make reward you gold, which you will need. They should be picked up at every chance.
    • Marketplace: 30x Shard for 1.5m Gold
    • Seal Land: Smash daily for the most you can.
    • Event Raid Hero Challenge: Spend gems for extra completes here. All that you can EVERYDAY.
    • Tavern Quests
    • Aspen Dungeon: The Lady Dude sells 30x for 1.5m
  • Done right, you should be able to pick up 3000-10000 Shards a month depending on your status.

Events:

Obtaining hero copies in this game is all about events. Generally, there are 2-3 events each week starting on Thurs. The events themselves reward a player for doing what they were already going to be doing, just saved up and done all at once. The best way to get hero copies is to save for Events. The best way to do events is to properly prepare and pool resources ahead of time. Scrambling and using random resources is bad. You also shouldn't be using any resources outside its associated event to maximize your results with no extra effort beyond BEING PATIENT. I have put little notes in each section on how i feel this is best accomplished. The following are things i see people doing WRONG:
  • Spend Heroic Scrolls, Prophet Orbs, Casino Coins, 4★ or 5★ Hero Tokens at any point outside their specific events.
  • Use resources on odd events to accomplish them at a crazy cost (using 20 Prophet Orbs for Miracle).
  • Use hard earned resources on an event that does not give them anything they need. (Example: 80 POs for King Barton Reward)

Opportunity Costs

  • A big argument with saving for events is this "Opportunity Cost" of not spending your resources. What they mean is that for not spending your resources, you obtain less fodder to ★ up your heroes, for a time. Without leveling your heroes, you accomplish less than someone who does. Alot of the debate is wrapped up in this hypothetical... for both sides. So if you hold your 80 POs and don't spend them for 2 months because you didn't find the rewards useful, and another person spends 80 each month. By the end of the 3rd month, you will have 240 orbs to spend on an event that can provide more useful hero copies (hopefully), whereas the other person that spent 80 each month earn progression TIME with stronger heroes that you won't have till the end of the 3rd month. So all things being equal (which they aren't, which is why its super hypothetical) the idea is to weight the advantage of that 3 months of slightly stronger heroes vs the cost of saving the POs and getting useful heroes. There are probably times both are useful.
    • Early Game: Yes spend 80 Orbs each time you have them. Don't worry as much about the reward Heroes. You are just focusing on getting copies from the orbs and your branches. Plus you need all the fodder at this point. You don't have massive 4★ Farm going yet.
    • Mid Game: I think its worth waiting for a hero you might need. Don't hold your breath for any Top Tier Light/Dark to be the PO reward, but there are still good ones offered. Horus, Valk, Oberon, Cthuga have all been up there. A few times for Special events they throw up a Light/Dark. Don't hold back if you already have 320+ Orbs.
      • For the best heroes in the game, you are gated by hero copies. DH helped us a ton with the Feather Shop. Make sure you focus obtaining feathers as much as you can. They are so valuable for so many things.
      • One of the things that is rarely mentioned in talks about opportunity costs is the special events. Anniversary, Thanksgiving, CNY, and X-mas (sometimes others like Easter or Halloween) will have special events. Its always random, but usually pretty good. Generally its these events that the P2W artifacts are available without money, and no other time. The catch is they require a decent surplus of Resources. Thanksgiving event is a great example. 240 POs and 60 SCC, and you got Xia, Amvour +Skin, Runes Power, and Kiss of Ghost. Is it worth delaying your progression to obtain such things? Hell yes. Without a doubt. <-- My Opinion. How much are the P2W Artifacts worth? Most take $200-$300 to obtain. What is it worth to you to have a chance to obtain them without money. That is my answer to opportunity costs. The downside is the randomness, unpredictability, and inconsistency of the events. The upside is obviously having a chance at obtaining an item that at the higher ends of the game is a difference maker between you and the next person.

Monthly Events:

  • With the release of monthly events a few things have changed... for the better. We have more time to complete events, AND they released the feather Shop.
    • Golden Feather shop: This shop is so amazing for progression. If you focus most of your effort into obtaining feathers over all else, you can get any hero you want. Heroes unobtainable by normal players like the new Light/Dark hotness can actually be built. I recently saved up and used 560 Feathers to get all the rest of the copies i needed of Aida to E5 her. Game changer here if used properly. ***

Fusion Event: (Monthly Event)

  • A large portion of your account growth will come from this event. Each day you will do each of the things that provides 4★ shards. We will use those to make our 5★s as discussed above. The gold and pet materials provided by this should not be miss, as well as the feathers.
  • Because this is now a monthly event, you can now double dip with Heroic Miracle if you wish. I do it, but some don't like to wait. Just make sure you do have enough for the Heroic Miracle event. You never want to miss out on it because you fused all you had right before it drops.

Militant: (Monthly Event)

  • You just have to fight a lot. Keep in mind you get less points for losses, SO DON'T LOSE. Some of the event is based in the crystal crown league, and the other will be in the Trial of the Champion. Both require 150 points, and reward Golden Feathers for a full completion.
Crystal Crown 150 Points 1 Ticket Entry 2 Points for Win 90 Free Entries 0 Tickets to Complete
Trial of the Champion 150 Points 3 Ticket Entry 2 Points for Win 0 Free Entries 225 Tickets to Complete
  • Buy the Marketplace 5x Tickets for 300k every day. That is 150 Tickets a Month. Rest you will have to get from Aspen, or buy with gems from Aspen. Technically you get 5000 Gems from Trial as reward. Its obviously best if you don't have to reinvest those to complete it, but it can be done EVERY month, and SHOULD be.

Tavern Event: (Monthly event)

  • This is the EASIEST event besides Heroic Miracle. I use my Tavern Re-roll strat, and its a non-issue to complete this. For being so easy, it has some killer rewards. 25 Prophet Orbs! While re-rolling tavern quests, save two 7★ quests, and five 6★ quests. Saving the quests means you put heroes in them to complete them. Let the timer run, but instead of clicking the "Complete" button, you just leave them floating.

Broken Spaces: (Monthly event)

  • This event has a set of bosses to kill for rewards. Pretty basic. The first tier is pretty doable by almost anyone. The 2nd and 3rd take a bit more. Beyond that starts to take a specific PvE setup team, or hundreds of tokens.
  • Good PvE teams generally consist of Pheonix Pet, Sigmund, and Heart Watcher. Then the last 4 spots filled with either 4 Damage dealer heroes, or 3 damage dealers and a healer. Just depends on if your heroes are dying or not.

Heroic Summon Event:

  • 500 HS are needed to complete the event. Can be completed 4 times. The summon event is THE hardest event to complete.
500 HS Completion 16x 5★s 100x 4★s ~28x fodder God Tier Reward 15 Feathers
100 HS x5 16x 5★s 100x 4★s ~28x fodder None 30 POs & 100 HS
  • Due to the restructuring of the 3 big events and the ability to repeat 4 times, i have changed my approach to this event.
    • Early Game: Spend 100 or 500 as you can. I prefer the 500, as i focus on the Feathers all i can. If you can't wait for 500, then do the 100 summon. The 100 summons is near to being the most efficient event per rewards the game has. Missing those 15 feathers is not a good idea IMO. Soul stones should also probably be picked up at least once, so you have them if you ever need them to regress or soulswap bad heroes.
    • Mid Game: Complete the 500 summon for a top tier Hero and Feathers or start saving 2k for a Holiday event. Mid game is long, so it kinda depends where you are, and how much patience you have. Saving 2k is not for everyone i'm told. The earlier you start, the more likely you will be to have top tier heroes and artifacts for your End Game team.
    • End Game: Save 2k. The. New. Hotness.
  • Reasons for 2k saving:
    • Most special events seem to be taking into acnt that it is possible to complete 4 times, thus to obtain some of the best rewards you will NEED to complete it 4 times.
    • The release of a new OP hero. Most new heroes are OP with the ever scaling hero powers. 2000 scrolls gives 4 copies (almost 5 with feathers) of that hero and a good likelihood of 3-5 more, thus handing you a new OP E3-E5.
    • Chance at P2W artifacts. So far, they are still behind a $100 paywall for the last few events even with 2000 HS used. If P2W artifacts are going to be had, this is how it will probably happen though. A few have been obtainable tho. Antlers Cane for Xmas, Kiss of Ghost for Thanksgiving, and a few like Augustus Ball prior to the event changes.
  • The odds are 1.58% to summon a 5★ normally. 3.16% in a summoning event. Never summon outside the event except for daily quest.
  • This event is very hard on Hero room. Be careful what you are sacrificing on the Altar, and remember that keeping as many heroes in token form as you can helps a lot.

Prophet Orb Event:

  • 80 orbs are needed to complete this event. It can be completed 4 times. All rewards from the Prophet Orbs are awarded in Token form.
  • Keeping rewards in Token form helps:
    • Hero space, its fairly limited. Token space is limitless.
    • With how random Shelter events are, keep even 4★ heroes (x120)
  • Ways to obtain Prophet Orbs:
    • Completing Events (25 from Monthly)
    • Aspen Old Dude 5x POs for 2250 gems
    • Super Casino
    • PvP Vendor
  • Early Game: Save up 80 Orbs and spend on the next event. Don't worry about event skipping because of the hero reward at this point.
  • Mid Game: If the Hero reward is not one you plan to build, skipping is a good idea. Because it can be completed up to 4 times, each time you skip adds one potential hero copy of the same hero. Going very far over 240 should be pretty rare though. I also buy the 5x POs from Aspen, eventually stopping once i start to focus on HSs.
  • Saving opens up your options and affords the power of choice. There are "opportunity costs" associated with this choice as well. You have to weigh the delay of progress against good hero copies and special events.

Heroic Miracle:

  • For this event you need to summon or craft 5★s, 2 each of Light and Dark, and 3 each of Abyss, Shadow, Forest, and Fortress. This rewards a good 5★ hero, some nice HS or POs, and some nice orange gear.
    • With the Release of the Monthly Events, you can save all Creation Circle 5★ fuses for this event. For those early on in progression, its something you should probably take advantage of.
Heart Summons to supplement Creation Circle Crafts Then Specific Hero Tokens

Shelter Event:

  • Shelter Events are a set of trades that can be done for a reward. Its had some varied 4★ requirements, and a 5★. Since it is random, be careful how you scramble to obtain the heroes.
  • Stash:
    • 120x 4★ of each Heroes Token
    • 5★ Fodders of each faction (2x L/D)
  • My last advice is to think twice before getting any Light/Darks from this event. Trading 2 L/D fodder in for 1 hero is costly. With the other factions, wouldn't be AS big a deal. Since its rarely a top tier light/dark, its usually not worth it.

Grey Dwarf Event:

Gear Gold Gems
4★ 5★ 40m 1500
5★ 6★ 60m 2500
6★ Class Set 100m 4000
Total 200m 8000
  • All of these upgrades are worth it, but this event is very expensive to continually complete. Armor is more important that most realize especially early game. Save BEFORE it arrives.

Casino Event:

  • Casino event, to me, my least valued event as i feel the fodder rate is low. At the same time, is has the highest comparative value on my spreadsheet. You can pick up many Casino Chips from:
    • Marketplace 8x Chips for 240 Gems
    • Aspen Deals for Gold and Gems. (Buy all Casino Coins for gold AND the 20x for 500 Gems)
    • Tavern
  • I don't like spending gems on Casino Coins because i can get so many for gold from Aspen, BUT for new players this is a pretty damn good event, and even for older players, those POs it rewards for the low cost are a pretty good deal.
    • Early Game: While i value it the lowest, the event has definite value especially in the early game. It has some pretty good benefits for low level players. Namely Gold, 4★ Shards, and Sacrificial Artifacts. Because it does have a decent use early on, i will leave it up to you if u want to spend gems on this.
    • Mid Game: Buy your Aspen deals for Gold, and complete when you can. The POs for completing the event are nice and generally so is the gold, but its not worth our gems at this point except the 20 for 500 Aspen deal.
  • Most of the value here comes from the 4★ shards. Refresh for Light/Darks all you can each day. If you don't get them, roll until you get whatever shards are on the wheel and stop for the day. This way you can focus on 4★ shards while still doing the daily quest 2 spins for free.

Treasure Chest:

  • This event is sometimes really AWESUM and other times....bleh. This event is a big sale of Boxes for Gems. This formula seems to be changing from week to week, and so the gem prices on the boxes are varied. 4k hero boxes, 6k Guild Coin boxes. The box that makes or breaks this event is the box with the guild coins. This is a huge boost to guild coins, but the randomness of the box can really boost or diminish its value. You will have to personally weigh it each time.
Gems Rewards Rewards Rewards
500 5x HS - -
1200 5x Super Chips 2x 3★ Orange Armor Pieces -
2400 8x POs 2x 3★ Orange Armor Pieces -
4000 Decent Hero 20k Dust -
8000 Good Hero 25k Guild Coins Skins
Only 3 Artifact or Shards Event Currency Feathers
  • You want to have at least 12k gems saved up each time for this event. The 1st, and 3rd boxes are usually must buys. The 2nd box is a crap value. The 4th box with random shards and dust is pretty bad deal as well. The 5th i would generally say to get if u can afford it just for the Guild coins, but if you are tight on gems its fine to leave it if Guild Coins is really all thats good in it.

Heroes:

If you go into the "Hero" menu, and click the gallery on the right side, you can see all heroes available. You can read hero abilities and more importantly you can see the 10★ versions of heroes. The 10★ heroes change a little from their former versions. This also lets you see which heroes CAN be 10★s, as not all heroes can. Read up and decide for yourself who you want. That's part of the fun right? Check my other guide if you would like to know who to keep or not Here.
  • Hero Class: There are 3 Classes of heroes the way i break it down
    • The Class 1 - 10+★ heroes (5 star base)
    • The class 2 - 9★ heroes (4★ base, can be found in 5★ though)
    • The class 3 - 5★ heroes (4★ base)
  • Why are those categories important?
    • The Class 1 heroes are 5★ only heroes, meaning they are harder to get. You should be picking your end game team from these heroes. Everything else is fodder. Just because it is a class one hero does not mean its a strong hero. Focus on hero skills and read carefully. When sacrificing heroes try NOT to use this class of hero if you aren't sure how good it is. Check the top of this thread if you want to know what is safe to sacrifice...Here
    • The Class 2 heroes are useful, especially early on. They all have 4★ versions that can be obtained very easily and can thus be changed into a 6★ hero much faster. This is also useful to puzzle out because they max out at 9★. That means they are the best choice for a 9★ sacrifice. Class 2 minions make the 9★ sacrifice much easier than than using a harder to obtain Class 1 hero that might make a better 10★ sacrifice. Norma for early progression is the only worthwhile hero in this grouping. And Sierra cause dem tiddies level up with her.
    • The class 3 heroes, while being absolute garbage, are very useful as 5★ sacrifices. That's it though. They are my main source of fodder through 4★ fusions.
  • Had a decent amount of questions concerning ★s. So here is the level up rundown. 6★ by combining 5★s at the creation circle. Once at 6★, click on the hero you want to upgrade and go to the upgrade tab.
7★ 4x 5★ Same Faction - -
8★ 3x 5★ Same Faction 6★ Same Faction -
9★ 2x 5★ Same Faction 6★ Same Faction 1x Copy of Hero
10★ 9★ Any Faction 6★ Same Faction 2x Copy of Hero
E1 9★ Any Faction - 1x Copy of Hero
E2 9★ Any Faction - 1x Copy of Hero
E3 10★ Any Faction - -
E4 10★ Any Faction - 1x Copy of Hero
E5 10★ Any Faction - 1x Copy of Hero
  • Best Heroes:
    • There are a limited number of places to obtain the best heroes in this game, most with a TINY chance.
      • Event Completion Rewards
      • Heroic Scrolls
      • Prophet Orbs
      • Prophet Branches
      • Super "Wishing well"
      • Elite Shards
      • Feather Shop
    • The 5★ Hero shards cannot give any top tier heroes. Prioritizing Prophet Orbs, Heroic scrolls, and events will progress your hero copies more than anything else. Knowing this helps you understand where to spend resources, and what to prioritize if you have many options.
  • Light and Dark heroes are harder to get and level. Taking multiple L/D units past 7★ is really hard. For this reason, don't level any L/D until you have enough copies of the hero to at least 10★+ the hero.
  • Treasure gems: They are the item on the lower left of the hero. Any hero you don't plan to take to 10★, don't take past a Green stone. Never lock in the stats.

Tavern:

  • You have the ability to reset your tavern quests that are available for 10 gems per quest re-rolled. Maybe this doesn't seem like a good idea, but in general it is. My formula is this:
    • Do any quest with more than 25 gems (40+ gems)
    • Do any quest that gives heroic summon scrolls
    • Do any 5★ quest that gives 4★ token pieces (None)
    • Do any and all 6 and 7★s except Green/Red Artifact pieces
    • Re-roll the rest and repeat
      • Caveat: This has worked for me at Vip3 and higher. Vip0 i have been told is risky for 7★ Quests.
  • The idea is this. The only items i really care about are the HS, and the gems (and a little for 4★ Shards). Because gems are so useful, i focus on gaining them over pretty much everything. Anything that can be bought with gold, has less value here.
  • So i have gone nearly 2 years with this strat, but the last 6 months has been very rough for one of my acnts. The other 2 are sitting at like 10x 7★ Quests. One of my acnts though is getting royally screwed with RnG. Because getting 2x 7★ Quests a month is so profitable, it needs to be done. So for like 3 months i altered my plan. I used the Parenthsis values instead. So from now on, i will those rules if i don't have 2x 7★ Quests. RnG is RnG, and sometimes it's bad, even for long periods. Eventually tho, you will get back to normal, or even have your situation flipped.

Marketplace:

  • Buy every day:
    • 5x Arena Ticket for 300k Gold
    • 3★ Fodders for Gold
    • 4★ Fodder for Gold
  • If you are over 20k Gems, and preparing for the 2000 HS events
    • 8x Heroic Scrolls for 1000 Gems
  • If you find you are no longer have such a huge need of gold:
    • Buy 5x Basic Scrolls for 500k Gold
      • Helps supplement 3 and 4 star numbers

Campaign:

  • Every 10 hours, the loot and exp max out. Open the campaign screen to resume the gain.
  • End on farming levels divisible by 5. You can obtain shards this way. Don't stop on other levels.
  • At acnt level 175 Orange Artifact shards start dropping, or acnt 177 for Artifacts and 5★ shards.

Blacksmith:

  • Do not upgrade any armor under Orange 1★.
  • For the daily quest, make the 3 cheapest armors. Never sell low tier armors, just keep using them for the Daily.
  • This is a place that you can waste gold if u aren't careful. Be smart.

Celestial Island

  • This place is pretty amazing if you stay on top of it and don't mess up. There IMO are alot of place you CAN mess up.
    • First, get the island going as early as possible. Make the first 2 mines you build Gold mines. "WHAT DID HE JUST SAY??!?!" Yes, gold. I did gems for my first 2 with 1 acnt, and gold on my other. The gold came in WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more useful than the gems did at that point. By the time the Gem mines will produce relevant amounts, you will have 4 mines. Have 2 Gold Mines and 2 Gem Mines.
    • Don't build Dust Mines until last.
    • Don't level your main building too far ahead of what you can handle. You can easily screw yourself by leveling it past your ability to clear it, especially early on. The method i developed was to progress it once i maxed out all the buildings i was building AND was able to kill the boss island in 1 attempts.
    • The first building you make is Vitality. Follow that with Harvest. Then follow those with Tyrants. Don't even bother with the rest. They are a huge waste of gold, and as you should know, ain't nobody got gold to waste early on.
    • There are also special fights available randomly for a skin shard. Make sure you can kill this. At any point you run into it and can't beat it, don't progress your main building any further. I did this, and i think i missed out on a good 15+ Skin shards. Foolish is a beast.
    • You will notice as you progress along that there are alot of empty buildings because i told you to only build certain ones. That is good. If you filled them all up, you did it wrong, and wasted alot of resources while doing it. You have been warned.

Pets (Monster):

  • Your pet can make or break you. Besides getting actual good heroes, this is the most important thing you can do. Even more important early on... InfoGraphic by Ibex_sm does better than my old chart.
  • Imo Pheonix is the best starting pet. The amount of heroes with fire dots is large (including one of the most necessary heroes Sigmund), the heal is clutch, the DoT is decent, and the damage boost is great. Works really well for both PvE and early PvP.
  • After Leveling your first pet to max, save you mats. A new monster will be total crap until it is able to be maxed out or close to maxed out. The boost from a maxed pet is just too big so your first maxed pet will be better at everything until your new pet is as well. Because of that, save ~600k Monster Souls, and ~100k Chaos Stones before even thinking about leveling another pet. If they release a new OP pet, or more pet levels, you are prepared.
  • A great 2nd pet is Deer.

Aspen Dungeon

  • After the Buff to pets, Aspen is a little more useful than before. Its still not gonna get you 400 Casino coins a month. The pet supplies aren't all that easy to get though, and this is a great place for them. Pets are HUGE, so this place is now fairly important again.
  • Aspen Dungeon has several difficulties. Easy, Normal, Difficult, Nightmare, Hell and Death. Each time you fight, its 1 of your Heroes, vs 1-4 other heroes. Because of this, certain self healing heroes are really good for this:
    • Vesa (early)
    • Aida
    • Penny
    • Valk
    • Horus
  • Guild Tech, great armor, optimal Treasure stones, and a great Artifact play pretty huge rolls here.
    • Keep in mind, those are not always the same as their PvP or PvE optimal setups either.
  • The goal here is to clear 100 levels for each difficulty. For each 50 you clear, you can do a smash the next time you come and auto-loot a bunch of prizes. In the Merchant Deals area you can check out all the deals from the smash, and buy accordingly.

Guilds

  • Guilds have their own currency, Guild coins. These can be used in one of 2 places. The shop or the Tech Building.
    • The shop should not really be used. The tech is just that useful.
    • The Tech Building is where ALL of the coins SHOULD be going. Guild Tech raises the stats for ALL heroes you own of that type. These bonuses are in effect everywhere. Marauders, PvP, Aspen Dungeon, and so on. That compounds with high level characters higher stats.
      • Most of the choices for Tech is decided by your team comp and its not exactly easy to max out. Your choices are pretty important. Generally speaking Hp and Damage are good nodes to max for all classes, as well as speed. So if you can't decide, max HP and Damage early nodes while you think.
      • Skipping less useful nodes like dodge and precision with the standard 10 points is a decent idea to get to the good stuff.
      • If you mess up (or change your team focus), you CAN reset your talent points. The first time is free, after that you gotta pay some gems, so don't mess up. Click the green circling arrows in the upper left.
  • Earning Coins
    • The coins can be earning by clicking the Guild clipboard looking button. It gives you 50 coins.
    • The Mill is a great way to earn them.
    • Guild Bosses reward around 10k for the top place. It goes down from there. Good source of coins for PvE focused players. You can only kill a boss once.
    • Guild Wars award coins based on guild placement. Must have at least 10 teams.
  • IF you leave a guild and join another, your tech level goes with you, but only once you rejoin a guild. While you are guild-less, you are without tech.

PSA: Save Your Quick Tickets For When You Have Less Content Variety

Don't know if this has been said before but:

If You Have Lots of Content Variety save your Quick Tickets, otherwise use them when you need them. Read Below for Why You Should Save Them!!!!!!

FAQ:
Q: What are Quick Tickets?
A: Quick tickets are used to unlock cups faster before they are scheduled to be unlocked during the current tour. so a cup that is suppose to be unlocked in two days, can be unlocked right now with quick tickets (provided you have the amount of quick tickets required).

Q: Why are Quick Tickets Important?
A: they let you scout the upcoming cups days in advance for the current tour. this gives you time to save up coins for the daily selects in the shop to pull the content you need for those cups. it also let's you plan on how to best spend your skill up and points up tickets as well as raising content points (from daily xp) to get higher scores for those upcoming cups to help get those stars, which in turn means more free gifts for you.

Q: Why should I save my quick tickets?
A: as new cups and tours get released you will probably run into "power creep" (unless your a whale) sooner or later.

Q: What is Power Creep?
A: it's when new content has advantage over the older content. this is similar to Pokemon with older and newer pokemon, as newer pokemon tend to push older pokemon to lower tiers, due to newer pokemons being stronger than the older pokemons.

Q: How is Power Creep related in MKT?
A: In MKT Power Creep is determined by the amount of money you spend, the RNG you get from pipe pulls, daily select shop, etc... when your not spending any money (or very little money) you get less newer content without good RNG and patience compared to whales, this is where power creep comes in. what this means is that overtime Nintendo is banking on power creep to get you to spend money to stay competitive, or to unlock those higher star requirement gifts (Skill Up Tickets, Point Boost Tickets, High End Content, etc...). Pulling the pipe in MKT and using the Daily Select Shop is like going into a casino and playing the slot machines as casinos are banking on you to lose all your money playing slots (as slots and the casino beat you overtime because of percentage odds) and here Nintendo is banking that you will spend your money and end up getting bad RNG like the slot machines do. in MKT older content starts becoming less good overtime as newer content pushes older content down in tiers (Like Pokemon), so will you find that newer tours/cups become harder and harder as the content you have right now that is good might not still be good overtime. just look at the first map in the first cup of the Paris tour, then compare it to the first map of the first cup of the Halloween tour and you will notice that the Paris one requires a much higher score than it's Halloween counterpart. Newer players have no chance to be competitive without spending money because right off the bat they can't even earn 5 stars on their first map on the Paris Tour compared to if they had started playing during the Halloween Tour. that's Power Creep in MKT.

Q: Okay But How Do I Know When Power Creep has caught up to me?
A: if RNG hasn't been good to you with content variety or you have been carelessly spending your rubies, coins, coin rush, etc... you will probably run into power creep faster than other players as your content variety is lower than someone else of equal playtime/spending. on the other than hand if you have medium/high amounts of content variety it will take you longer to notice power creep before other players with less content variety do.

Q: Okay what would be the most effective way to save and use quick tickets?
A: The cups that have been unlocked so far in the current tour and your content variety are both indicators of how to use/save quick tickets. if you are struggling in the cups during the current tour will you probably struggle for the remainder of the tour and this would be when to use the quick tickets to scout the remaining cups to help you get the content you need to compete in those cups. on the other hand if you aren't struggling and have medium/high content variety then that means you don't have to worry about power creep yet and can save those quick tickets if power creep starts becoming a problem in the future.

Tip: If you do use your quick tickets help the community out by letting everyone see the future cups without each person having to spend quick tickets.

How Did Your Favorite Players Perform (Relative to Seeding) at Pound 2019?

Hey folks. Time for the post tournament review of how players placed relative to their seeds. This is Ultimate only (I don't follow Melee and couldn't do an insightful write up) and a tiny bit late. Long finals does that to you. I only did 64 seeds this time because I hit my limit. But, thank you to Pound for actually putting out a document with all the players organized by seed outside of the Smash GG site. Made my life a lot easier. Previous write-ups at the bottom.

Disclaimer 1: Not all runs are created equal. Some players needed to take on monsters to get their placement. Some less so. This is not meant to be an objective comparative quality match-up of players.
Disclaimer 2: If a player had a bad tournament that doesn't make them a bad player. It is easier to perform below your standard then above. Thus, one tournament can make a career, but it can't break it. There are many reasons players lose.
As fans we have a responsibility to be good to players. They cry and sweat for us. The goal isn't to make players stress out about individual placements more, but to catch interesting story lines and data. Don't be a dick to players.
Disclaimer 3: It is easier for a low seed to overperform and for a high seed to underperform. Seeds are a stand-in for expectations. The shit part of high expectations is that beating them is hard. One should consider equal levels of over-performance to favor higher seed players in terms of level of impressiveness.
Disclaimer 4: An issue with seeding is just as good an explanation for some of these cases as bad play is. It is not always possible to tell the difference.
How to Read This: Number indicates placement relative to expected placement. The number reflects losers round expected to lose in, vs actual loss. At the request of numerous people from the previous two threads, we're experimenting with single number placement this time. What that means is that if a player was seeded between 13 and 16, that means they were expected to go out at 13th place. Thus, if they got a +1 it means they got 9th place. If they got a -1 then it means they got 17th.

+5 or More (Star Turn)

Ally. 12th Seed. 1st Place. (+6): If you were following the early days of Ultimate, but had never tracked Brawl or Smash 4, this would be surprising. Ally has been on a win streak lately, but he hasn’t felt like a top contender. But, Ally was one of the best in the world in the previous games, and in some ways even the label "Star Turn" is absurd for him. More like a comeback. Now granted, we need to recognize the huge role that the Day 2 upsets had in this. He had been projected to face off against Light and VoiD but was spared those matches. But, one doesn’t simple beat Myran and Dabuz, two top level players, without coming out looking impressive. Ally is back. Now we just need ZeRo and we can have Civil War II.
JW/LimaSlayer. 63rd Seed. 9th Place. (+5): Back in Smash 4 he was known as LimaSlayer after an important win over Lima. Well after this tournament he should call himself LeffenSlayer. Or maybe LeoSlayer. Really anything besides JW. The point is that in this tournament, he was the man. He almost made Top 8. Pure Star Turn.
Phantom. 84th Seed. 13th Place. (+5): He started his run with an upset over Mekos, and then followed it up with wins over an increasingly absurd series of players. Laid and Ryuga. A close 3/2 set vs Pelca. Then the crown jewel of the run, a win over Number 9 Seed Mr R. Someone call New England and tell them to collect their boy. He’s going wild out here.

+2 to +4 (Strong Tournament)

Myran. 8th Seed. 2nd Place. (+4): Myran continues his climb, but misses his coveted first major title. Since his Genesis and Frostbite runs, Myran’s chances of taking a major have seemed very high. This time he almost did it. Almost. Like Ally, Myran lucked out from the crazy bracket volatility in that he never had to face Leo. But, he still had to beat Zinoto, JW, Mew2King, Samsora, and Marss to get this placement. If he keeps playing this well, his major is almost assured.
Sinji. 34th Seed. Out at 9th Seed. (+4): Sinji (and PacMan mains in general) continue to impress. After an early loss to Pelca, he went through a marathon losers bracket run that went all the way to the edge of top 8. Along the way he even finished off VoiD, Daybreak, and Phantom. So tantalizingly close to a top 8 appearance, but at the very least he gave everyone another reason to remember there are PacMans out there besides Tea. If Sinji isn’t globally ranked this season, it’s a travesty.
MJ. 79th Seed. Out at 25th Place. (+4): Got lucky he didn’t have to face Dingus Joe in losers, but any assertion of luck alone is instantly dispelled by a win over Ryuga, one of the world’s top Ikes.
Shyguy. 182nd Seed. 33rd Place. (+4): He got an upset over Salem apparently, which is just nuts. Also one over Rags too boot. Hoo boy, what a run.
Buzz. Unseed. 49th Place. (+4): He got to top 64 with a numbers of wins. The obvious standout was over Logic. Good job, dude. Welcome to the pros.
Salem. 13th Seed. 5th Place. (+3): The curse is broken. Finally… After 3 A/S tier tournaments in a row of underperformance, Salem managed to beat his seed and win a sting of strong wins over Zinoto, ANTi, MuteAce, Mr E, and finally MVG teamage MKLeo himself. The end result was Salem’s first A tier top 8 finish and a nice reminder that he shouldn’t be left out of the top 10 discussions.
Pelca. 26th Seed. Out at 9th Place. (+3): He got a solid win over Sinji and even gave Salem a serious run in the Snake ditto. But, the biggest factor in his strong performance was a strangely favorable bracket. For some reason he kept on facing all of the Pound upset kings. Both bobby Wasabi and Phantom. Remember folks, a single upset can wreak radical havok on a single bracket.
Mr E. 36th Seed. Out at 13th Place. (+3): Mr E is on a comeback tour. After a 13th placement at Prime, he does just as well at Pound. He was lucky he didn’t run into any killers in losers, but he scored up a series of solid wins. Clearly this was a case of underseeding. 36th? Really?
Atomsk. 67th Seed. 25th Place. (+3): Beat Panthoran, Raptor and Gen with a freaking DeDeDe. What a nut. Apparently an old hand from the Brawl days. Welcome back Atomsk!
Mystearica. 65th Seed. 25th Place. (+3): Call Mystearica the wolf slayer. One win over Seagull Joe and one over 6WX.
Burntsocks. 61st Seed. Out at 25th. (+3)
Pipp. 183rd Seed. 49th Place. (+3): He got his key upset over Nuggetz. Sometimes you end up against MKLeo in Pools 2. Rip.
Mav. 166th Seed. 49th Place. (+3): He beat Gimr and Dingus Joe. He ain't affraid of no G&W.
SoulArts. 132nd Seed. 49th Place. (+3)
Tension. 110th Seed. 49th Place. (+3): The reason Plup is not on this list. Still, he got some damn fine upsets this tournament.
MattyG. 43rd Seed. Out at 17th. (+2): Beat Larry Lurr and ended Shyguy’s Winner’s side upset run to get this placement. Good placement for a consistently solid placement.
Danbi. 50th Seed. Out at 25th Place. (+2): Frankly, it’s weird he was seeded this low anyway. Danbi has been emerging as one his region’s biggest threats. He showed it here with a double elimination on Pink Fresh.
Ice. 74th Seed. Out at 33rd. (+2): Run is the result of a cool upset against Pacman Kiwi, followed by an even more impressive upset over Frostbite’s Japan Slayer, Goblin.
BobbyWasabi. 70th Seed. Out at 33rd. (+2): He beat VoiD. I honestly still have no idea how that happened. Good job dude. That’s a win to hang on to.

-1 to +1 (Normal Tournament)

Marss. 4th Seed. 3rd Place. (+1): Marss is a fantastic players who is amazing to watch. Just watch his pop off after his narrow win over Samsora. He some solid wins here too. Sinji, MVD, Dabuz, Samsora. It would have been a slightly more dramatic showcase though had it not been for getting upset by Myran for the second time in a week.
Samsora. 5th Seed. 4th Place. (+1): Samsora is one of the few Top 10 contenders without a win at a major. Leo, Nairo, and Void all dropped early. This was his moment...until it wasn’t. He got upset by Myran in Winners and then lost his runback vs Marss in an edge of your seat set in Loser’s Semis that was probably the highlight of the tournament. Everyone knows Samsora can win a major. He definitely proved it this time. The question is when?
MVD. 10th Seed. 7th Place. (+1): A string of strong wins over Goblin, Dark Wizzy, and upset king JW got him here. He probably was a beneficiary of the bracket chaos, but that’s not to diss the blood and sweat he put into his games. Especially his close set with Dark Wizzy.
Leffen. 24th Seed. Out at 13th. (+1): This is looking like the end of Leffen’s Ultimate career, based on what he’s talking about on Twitter and his increasing state of disinitrest. It’s fitting he went out on a good run. He got another win over ZD and gave MKLeo a run for his money. Maybe Joker will draw him back in. He has been a divisive figure in the Ultimate community, but also an engaged and dramatic one. Early Ultimate would not have been the same without him. If this really is the end of his Ultimate career, then it was a pleasure while it lasted.
Dark Wizzy. 18th Seed. 13th Place. (+1): Dark Wizzy is an absolute savage. He had to beat Light and Mr R just to make it to 13th. His set vs MVD was last game, last stock, last hit. This was a +1 that felt like a +4. Dark Wizzy is out here looking like the best Mario in the world every time he plays.
Ling Ling. 27th Seed. 17th Place. (+1): Ignore the +1 here. This run was impressive. He did okay in winners side, where he got an expected but still well earned win over ANTI. But, in losers he had to run the gauntlet of top players who got upset early. He did marvelously. A win over Captain Zack in the ditto. A win over ESAM. A close set with Leffen. Ling Ling has a lot of claim to the title of Number 2 Peach in the world.
Goblin. 25th Seed. 17th Place. (+1): The hero of Frostbite is on the warpath and he beat...okay opponents. Puppeh. Danbi. Those are not wins in a bad tournament by a long shot. But, we just didn’t get that Frostbite magic again. Still, his roy always a lot of fun.
Daybreak. 38th Seed. Out at 25th. (+1): Like with most +1 wins, you can normally track the match they weren’t supposed to win but did. In that case, it was his upset over Light. No small feat.
ANTi. 37th Seed. 25th Place. (+1): Did okay running mostly Mario. Got a win over ZD, which is less impressive than had he done it at Genesis. A shame he’s going to drop Lucario, since Lucario is hype, but who can blame him? He still has potential to be one of the best and we got flashes of that here.
PKChris. 64th Seed. 33rd Place. (+1)
Dexter. 49th Seed. 33rd Place. (+1): Earned his +1 with a surprise upset over Captain Zack. This was generally not a great tournament for Virginia/Maryland players despite the location, so it’s good to see one of their major pros on this side of the doc.
Ksev. 96th Seed. 49th Place. (+1)
Mew2King. 66th Seed. 49th Place. (+1): The old champ emerges from the shadows, taking a quick upset over DarkMATTer. Lost to Myran and Ned. Both highly respectable losses.
Dabuz. 6th Seed. 5th Place. (+0): Dabuz remains stuck in place. He essentially always gets to top 8, but he just can’t further. Dabuz needs to figure a way out of his committed relationship with 5th place. Still, you gotta admit it’s better to be stuck at 5th then at 65th.
Utopian Ray. 23rd Seed. 17th Place. (+0)
MuteAce. 17th Seed. 17th Place. (+0): Seemed a shoe in for a strong run after a dramatic upset over ESAM. But then...he got knifed by the crazy losers bracket where he ended up facing Salem. Made all the worse by the fact that it’s the same snake that beat him at Ultimate Gamer Miami. The upset givith and the upset taketh away.
Puppeh. 47th Seed. 33rd Place. (+0)
Geist. 44th Seed. Out at 33rd. (+0): The world’s last Bayonetta solo main of note did...okay. He did okay. Might need a secondary.
Ned. 35th Seed. 33rd Place. (+0)
Xerom. 60th Seed. 49th Place. (+0)
Ralphie. 53rd Seed. 49th Place. (+0)
Squerk. 52nd Seed. 49th Place. (+0)
Suarez. 20th Seed. Out at 25th. (-1): Got upset by Virginia hidden boss PT Puppeh. I still love watching Suarez play though. His set with Light is still a favorite of mine.
Riddles. 32nd Seed. 33rd Place. (-1): He didn’t do fantastic in singles, but man oh man did he kick some ass in Squad Strike. He has that going for him, which is nice.
Seagull Joe. 31st Seed. 33rd Place. (-1)
Gen. 30th Seed. 33rd Place. (-1)
Zinoto. 28th Seed. 33rd Place. (-1): Unfortunate bracket victim. Lost his expected match vs Myran, and then had to place Salem in losers.
Pathoran. 48th Seed. 49th Place. (-1)
Juuuuul. 46th Seed. 49th Place. (-1)
Jakal. 42nd Seed. 49th Place. (-1): An indirect upset victim. He lost the matches he was projected to win and won what he was projected to win. But, sometimes the number 15 Seed ends up in loser’s early and you’re shit out of luck.
6WX. 40th Seed. 49th Place. (-1): The Mystearica upset was not his finest hour. But, honestly he probably would have reached +0 if it wasn’t for that bracket shattering MKLeo upset. That’s what happens when the the Number 1 seed has to start a losers run in Pools 2.

-4 to -2 (Weak Tournament)

Mr R. 9th Seed. Out at 17th. (-2): Had an okay losers run, but suffered a pair of upsets to Dark Wizzy, who was having a moment, and Phantom who is actually a crazy badass. On the upside, he apparently made $700 dollars at a Casino over the weekend according to twitter. So, ironically, he actually made more money then he’d have made at 4th place. Yay?
Frozen. 22nd Seed. 33rd Place. (-2): The question coming into this one was whether he could repeat his star turn at Collision. He even had the opportunity to do it in a match vs Light. But, alas this was not the next act in Frozen’s ascension.
ESAM. 11th Seed. 25th Place. (-3): Technically speaking, this was a stronger performance (25th vs 33rd) then at Prime Saga, but it sure feels worse. As a recap, he ended up losing to Peach 4 times this weekend. Once to Samsora in squadstrike, once to MuteAce in winners, and once to LingLing in losers. But, most degrading of all was his 10-1 loss in a $500 money match vs Samsora. Being an ESAM fan is suffering. Wanna go to Dennys?
Ryuga. 16th Seed. Out at 33rd. (-3)
Captain Zack. 15th Seed. 33rd Place. (-3): The LingLing upset had to hurt. He has his reputation as one of the top peaches to protect.
ZD. 14th Seed. 33rd Place. (-3): ZD’s first tournament since Summit was...underwhelming. In the period leading up to Genesis, ZD was a top 20 contender. He just hasn’t been able to keep up.
Larry Lurr. 21st Seed. 49th Place. (-3): The early upset from MattyG sealed his fate. Maybe in a different bracket it wouldn’t have been so bad, but his losers run was cut short by the insane misfortune of a match in losers with Salem for 49th place. This is what happens when the bracket is an upset riddled mess.
Nairo. 3rd Seed. 9th Place. (-4): Ignore the numbers. He suffered the slightest of upsets vs Dabuz in their near weakly tournament matches. Then, he had to face MKLeo for 9th. Having to face MKLeo for 9th is stupid bad luck. Just unfortunate. What can you do about it?
Laid. 19th Seed. 65th Place. (-4)
Fatality. 29th Seed. 97th Place. (-4): Brutal. Just brutal. But, hey. Captain Falcon is a bit buffed in 3.0.0. Hopefully that has an effect.

-5 and Below (Wash Out)

MKLeo. 1st Seed. 7th Place. (-5): His second 7th performance in a row. It was looking pretty dicey. He was even considering DQ-ing in losers because he was feeling sick. But, he stuck it out. Even sick MKLeo is one of the best in the world, so he still ended up in Top 8, even if he couldn’t manage to figure out a way past MVG teammate Salem.
VoiD. 7th Seed. 49th Place. (-6): I don’t even know how to react to this. I love watching VoiD. I’m a fan. But, this is starting to become common enough to be concerning. Still, this is happening at the same time that Pichu is falling in the meta. He seems to want to pick up Joker though. As a Shiek-Main-In-Exile, maybe that will help?
Light. 2nd Seed. Out at 17th. (-7): Perhaps Light’s worst ever Ultimate placement at a B-tier or above, which is an accomplishment in of itself. Still, this one hurt. First an upset at the hands of Michigan Wolf, Daybreak, followed by a second upset against Mario extraordinaire Dark Wizzy. This isn’t the first time Wizzy has beat him either. Time to practice the Mario matchup. Oh well, at least he didn’t lose $500 on a Money Match.

Final Analysis:

Pound was a weird one. Boring and mostly predictable Day 1 (made more fun by a good Doubles bracket and schadenfreude from ESAM's self-inflicted wound). But, then Day 2 came along and suddenly it was upsets the tournament. Going into Day 3, an insane number of the top players were in losers or even eliminated.
Things, calmed down a lot in Day 3 though. There were still upsets to be sure, Dark Wizzy made sure of that. But, as the field narrowed, players expected to win generally did. By the time we reached Top 8 we ended up with a bracket no one would have been that surprised by. That's why the numbers on here ended up pretty close to a more normal tournament as opposed to a more wild data spread.
A lot of the momentum of the tournament was spent by that point though. The Olimar and Snake players seemed to be less inclined to being upset this time around, leading to a very zonecamper heavy Top 8 that a lot of viewers complained about. Granted, despite the number of close games it was mostly not exactly riveting, but a lot of the hate for that was misdirected at the players or the game.
Guys. Guys. It's not that Ultimate is broken because it's dominated by boring characters. It's that all the top players with interesting characters shit the bed (except Samsora and Marss).
Anyway, that'll be all from me this time. I'm probably not doing one of these for Papa 3 or Regen. I'll wait and see about Get On My Level and Momocon. If someone wants to try doing this format for Papa though, shoot me a DM.

Why is no one talking about the EA-like greed/scamming going on in NBA 2k right now? This is Battlefront all over again, and no one seems to care.

I apologize for the length of this post in advance; there's a lot of context needed to fully understand the severity of the situation, and what it could mean for the gaming industry as a whole. I'll throw a TLDR at the bottom for those who don't wish to read.
If you're already familiar with the concept of NBA 2k19's MyTeam mode, feel free to skip to below. If not, I'll briefly explain how it works. MyTeam is essentially a game mode within 2k19 where you acquire "Player Cards", with each one representing a player throughout history, and you can play as those players on your team. The goal is to constantly acquire better cards and use them online against others; so the better your cards, the better you'll perform. There's multiple rarities of cards, with the top 3 (extremely rare, & most sought after) being Diamond, Pink Diamond, and Galaxy Opal. These are the cards you need to be able to compete with the serious players, as the players have attributes that completely outmatch cards of lower rarities. You can try with lower rarities, but it'll be very frustrating as they aren't consistent cards to play with. Both Diamond and Pink Diamond cards can be acquired by getting EXTREMELY LUCKY (I'm talking less than .05% chance, like CSGO knife rarity but they actually affect gameplay) in special "Card Packs", each usually costing around 10,000 VC (VC being the game's primary currency). To put the ridiculous cost of these packs in perspective, the games price model is the following:
So to acquire JUST ONE of these packs, you're looking at $5, unless you decide to spend more (which is what most people do), and you can usually get about 10 packs for $20. These prices also NEVER go on sale more than 10% off, and the ONLY deals that do are the $20 and $100 ones typically. Now this would be okay if:
  1. The game wasn't a $60 AAA title and was a free to play mobile game
  2. You actually had a GUARANTEE at getting one of the previously mentioned diamond / pink diamond high rarity cards. (You don't.)
  3. 2k had the decency to tell you the odds of what you can pull- they don't. You just know what cards you might pull, but not a single statistic to tell you your chances. For all we know, the advertised cards might not even be in the packs.
  4. The packs didn't solely advertise a player card who 99.9% of people won't get even though that player card is the only reason people are spending money on the packs
To help put this into perspective even more, I have personally spent well over $400 (IRL USD) on packs recently to try and pull a "Pink Diamond Michael Jordan", arguable the best purchasable card in the game right now. I didn't get him once, despite opening over 200 packs. So, after $400 in a AAA game I already paid $60+ for, I did not get the card these packs were advertising- the packs are literally called "Michael Jordan 20th Anniversary Packs" and have his image all over them.
For the next paragraph- there's another currency in MyTeam called MT. This is what you earn from playing the game mode. You can't spend IRL money to purchase this currency as you can with VC. But you can use MT in the auction house feature to buy cards from other players. You can sometimes use MT to open these packs, but due to the stupidly low percentages at pulling good cards, its never worth it and most people buy the players directly even though it costs a lot of MT. I said sometimes last sentence because 2k actually makes some packs only obtainable by VC, meaning you need to spend IRL $ to actually even open the packs. That's a joke if you ask me.
So, we now have an AAA game that's obviously rocking the free-to-play mobile game model. That would be tolerable IF these cards were acquirable by playing the damn game. They technically are, but lets do the math to prove 2k is just trying to force people to spend money. On average, after 30 minutes of gameplay (full game @ 4 quarter, 5 minutes a quarter), you will acquire about 1,500 MT. This Michael Jordan card I mentioned just before goes for roughly 400,000 MT (varies per system [PS4, XB1, PC]) in the auction house market. That'd take well over 260 games at MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY (I'm talking hitting like every shot and playing insane defense) which is 130 hours of gameplay. If you account for all of the times 2k crashes, your opponent quits the game, lost matches, games don't count due to bugs, and all of the extra time for loading & all of that, you're looking at an easy 150 hours just to have the currency to afford a card that'll give you a chance at even competing with people who spends $100's on the game. That's just 1 pink diamond card. People have 10+ of them. And they make a huge difference for the gameplay experience.
There are also several other scummy business tactics 2k does that you need to quickly learn in order to understand how fucking awful what they did today is.
So these player cards are permanent, but to use them in a game you need to apply "contracts". Contracts are earned through gameplay & opening packs. They aren't that big of a deal this year, but its still just a pointless and frustrating feature obviously designed to make people spend their VC (game currency) on contracts if they run out, thus encouraging them to spend more IRL $$$ on VC. BUT there are "diamond" rarity contracts, which give player cards INFINITE games. These are very rare (after all of the $ I've spent, I only have 7) and can't be removed from a player once applied. So you need to use them wisely. You can get these contracts in the packs you buy with real money (very rare), or they can be purchased for 10s of thousands MT if you were to buy them directly from other players via the auction house; thus costing a lot of gameplay time.
There are also "shoes" you can apply to players to give them attribute boosts (i.e. 3pt shot boost, ball handling boost, etc.). There are "diamond" rarity shoes that never expire, as the other shoes do expire, just like contracts. Now you don't need shoes, but if you want to compete with the best, they make a significant difference. The most sought after diamond shoes go for well over 50,000 MT, which is again just insane amounts of gameplay time. They can be found in packs, but are also extremely rare. Once applied to a player, they can not be removed as well.
And finally, 2k has a feature called "locker codes" which are essentially textual codes you enter into this menu, which then brings you to a plinko ball-drop style game. These get released maybe once a week on average. In the game you have a small chance at a reward people would actually want, and then a high chance at useless crap that makes you realize not many people who work at 2k must actually play their game. Here's a quick example video for those of you who don't play. As you see from the example, you can acquire a RUBY card (these are VERY common, so pretty worthless unless you're brand new to the game), or at best like 300MT (which based on the math of the previous paragraph is near worthless). Its nearly unheard of for 2k to give out a locker code that gives you a chance at a pink diamond player, and even more so for that of a guaranteed pink diamond player (as in no plinko bs game).

Now to the reason I am making this post.

Its not because 2k has a pay-to-win model comparable to EA's battlefronts original model, where in order to use some of the biggest names in basketball (95'-96' Michael Jordan to NBA as Vader is to Star Wars, etc) in the games most popular mode (where its possible) you need to spend obscene amounts of money or unrealistic amounts time. And its also not because another AAA """award-winning""" game has a free to play mobile business model.
Yesterday, a code circulated around the community for a pink diamond LeBron James card. It was very popular in /nba2k along with several youtubers via youtube & tweets. Everyone in the community thought this was just 2k giving us a nice Christmas present, and for once actually caring about their consumers. Everyone, from little kids who can't afford to pay $$$ for these cards, to people like me who can & do, were ecstatic for their new player. Just look at the replies to that tweet. It was almost too good to be true.
Well, it was too good to be true. This morning, everyone has woken up to find that the player was REMOVED from their collection. There has been ZERO notice, explanation, or any sort of comment made by 2k on this situation. The community is just full of pure outrage.
What are the issues with this you might be asking?
  1. People have applied diamond contracts & shoes to that player. I've previously explained that to acquire those it'll either cost you a lot of $ or a lot of time. They are extremely rare and since this Pink Diamond LeBron James card was so good, tons of people used their diamond contracts & shoes on him. Now, so many people have just had what they worked for or paid for stolen from them; no notice, no official statement- NOTHING. But 2k managed to get someone to write code to remove this card from people on CHRISTMAS DAY.
  2. Morally, 2K just crushed a ton of little kids. There were so many people excited that they were actually able to use a card that makes the game so much more enjoyable. I'm sure there are many people out there who could barely afford a PS4, let alone spend money on virtual packs that go worthless next summer. Now those people were basically teased by 2k for entering a code they found on twitter, reddit, or youtube- they literally did nothing wrong, yet are being punished for someone leaking a code that wasn't meant to be released. This is just the most capitalist thing I've ever seen in gaming.
  3. People have sold their other LeBron James cards. You can only put 1 LeBron James card in your lineup. After receiving this Pink Diamond Lebron James, that gave people reason to sell their Diamond & Amethyst (Amethyst being a tier below diamond, rare but not too rare) LeBrons for MT, since theres no point in having 2 when you can only use 1. This is a great time to mention that when you sell a card for MT via the auction house, 2k takes 10% of that MT and just throws it away. So people sold their card for a loss compared to what they might have purchased it for, and in the end they are left with fucking NOTHING but a bit of MT- not enough to purchase another card at the level of the LeBron James card they sold.
  4. There are "collections" in the game- get a specific set of cards and you get a reward for doing so. People spent MT trying to complete the collection this LeBron James is a part of. So now that the LeBron is no longer obtainable, they have now wasted their MT on useless cards that'll just sit there. They could theoretically sell those cards back to the market, but that will come at a 10% loss. Either way, the consumer is being fucked over.
Personally for me, this situation is the straw that broke the camel's back. I am done with 2K and its shitty and scummy business practices. Something needs to be done- they are basically running a casino operation that has 0 government regulation in most places thus letting them walk all over the consumers.
The least they could have done was to give people a notice that it is a bug and is being corrected, and to not spend any contracts or shoes on the card, and to not sell your other cards, and to not base your collection around this card or anything.

So Now What?

Well, I've personally removed all payment methods I had linked with 2K. I'll do my best to not support a single title that has their name on it. I encourage everyone else to do so as well. I'll also be contacting the BBB and possibly the FTC depending on if this picks up any traction. Hopefully this situation can get some mainstream traction like EA's Battlefront shit show did as its the same evil, just a different company this time.
I'm just worried that when other companies catch wind of what 2K is able to get away with, this might start rubbing off on them and really fucking over the gaming industry. Just look at Read Dead 2 Online- the mobile microtransactions model is already there! But now that a company might have the ability to just take away what people spent money on & worked hard for, with ZERO explanation, well that might just lead to even more disgusting business practices. This situation has been a real eye opener for me, and I hope it helps others open their eyes up too.
TLDR: Someone @ NBA2k19 (a very P2W AAA game with a mobile app business model) fucked up, released a code for an amazing MyTeam LeBron James player card, everyone in the community redeemed it, wasted EXPENSIVE consumable items on that card, sold their other EXPENSIVE LeBron James Cards at a loss, everyone woke up today to find 2k had removed the card from their collections with ZERO explanation from 2k, now everyone is outraged and we have a serious issue on our hands when a company can just fuck over its consumers like that- arguably taking away property of the consumer since its the consumer who lost what they worked & paid for. 2K alone could even be compared to what Battlefront did- you can't play as people like Michael Jordan in the most popular mode (where its possible to) without spending an obscene amount of money. But this situation is a real cherry-topper.
