what games are at harrah's cherokee - win

What game did I play at the casino?

I went to Harrah Cherokee NC about a year ago for my first casino experience and had a lot of fun. I sat down at a video game poker machine that had a bunch of games on it. A person sitting 2 machines over noticed I looked somewhat confused/overwhelmed with the game options and offered to explain it all to me. After explaining the basic strategy, they showed me a game that seems similar to double double poker, but there was a small difference. Randomly you'd get a x2,x5,x7 or x10 multiplier for your winnings. I'm sure it ended up having a lower percentage of winning, but I was there to experience a casino for my first time and have a good time, coming out ahead or breaking even was just an added benefit. Getting a random multiplier was always so exciting! Does anyone happen to know what this game is called? Is it a popular game or unique to this casino? If it's popular how are the odds stacked towards the house?

tl;dr: There was a video poker machine at Harrah Cherokee NC that had a game that was similar to double double poker but would randomly give you a multiplier towards your winnings. Does anyone know the name of the game? Is it a popular game or unique to this casino? If it's popular how are the odds stacked towards the house?

Could use some cash game $1/$2 tips!

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've been to the casino to play some live cash, and upon searching, I didn't see very many threads about cash games in general. What are some good rules of thumb to remember? I know tight is probably right and betting when you have it for value is going to be key. Is there anything else I should keep in mind? This will be at Harrah's Cherokee in NC.
Thanks!
